The stock steering wheel is a good idea, but "ugly" in a car as sweet looking as an Exocet So, looks like I will be going down the same path as you. :-) Robert

Then the next easiest step would be to eliminate the entire stock stalk setup, mount push buttons for the lights and ignition on a panel or the new dash cover exomotive sells and get a hot rod/universal turn stalk to operate the blinkers. I was looking at an entire turn signal kit for a Polaris dune buggy which has its own wiring for brake lights, turns (including hazzard switch) and even a horn.

Actually, I take that back. Only get rid of the clock spring so you only lose the OEM horn button. Keep the key ignition and stock turn setup. See. Simple.

Greg,
When you put the cover back on the ignition you will have a gap around the wheel mounting. That is why I butchered my clock spring the way I did. You even used the same color release as mine. Had to look at the photo for a moment, nope not mine. lol.

I went with the Kosei rims with Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08 R Don't worry I think we are just copying SteadFast's build. Do like your idea of the little big brake kit though. Might have to copy that one.

Haha! Yeah Geoff has been great. There's something like 3 of us with green 2000 donors. Improbable Construct is one.
If you go with this kit, I can't help but wonder if these pads will be really noisy for street use. There's no noise shield on the pads... The parking brake setup (while it does have one) I question how well it will actually work. More on that after I get the chassis and route the brake cables.

That's where the start button will be mounted for the push button ignition. Also I needed to disable the steering wheel lock.

Got the steering shaft done! Tomorrow I will wire up the electronics and that part of the car will be finished.

I do powder coating at my job so I got almost limitless access to everything I need. Except my boss wouldn't let me use the large oven for coating the chassis itself. Have to pay the guy Exomotive hires to do the frame unfortunately.
