What minimum castor did you get. [ Hopefully 8deg pos will have to wait for wheel alignment to see what I can get? That's the minimum I can get as well according to my Iphone level which is pretty good usually.

Hi Conrad, Sounds quick mate, what's the handling like on that kit? sure will have to be good to handle the power!! How long does that thing take to charge and how long befour runs dry?? Would be interesting to know! Regards Will Hi Will hopeful it will handle better than the the petrol version center of gravity is lower, range is approx 200km and 6 hours to charge or 3 hours on fast charge. I'm on stand alone solar power so its free.

[ Hopefully 8deg pos will have to wait for wheel alignment to see what I can get? That's the minimum I can get as well according to my Iphone level which is pretty good usually. Terry suggested front caster 5 to 8 deg from camber 1/2 to 1/4 of deg front toe in 2.5 mm overall rear Camber 1 t0 1/2 deg rear toe in 1 to 2mm I'm still waiting on machine shop to make rear bearing bushes the RTR bearing holder didn't stick thru up right far enougth for disc to clear so we are putting spline and bearing into the focus bearing holder. Also the hi-spec twin pot rear calipers don't mount on to up right too far away from disc so have cut in to up right to get calipers closer to center. cheers Conrad

Sounds good Conrad, may have to have a look when passing? So re-charges as well that makes a difference! 200kms though is more than enough range amazed of that distance with battery power!! Did you say you was nearly finished? Regards, will

Hi Will yes near completion live 2 hours south of Canberra you welcome to check it out. I'm going to get running with out body on first hope to get go-pros on and upload to YouTube. should re-charge in 6 hours also has regeneration braking so feeds power back to to battery when braking. just waiting on new bearing hubs to be machined, also had to re-mount HISPEC dual pot brake calipers to the rear of upright due to them being a lot smaller than the focus units

what's its overall weight then Conrad, must be fairly light I'm guessing?? The trike with driver is around 450kgs which is still quite light obviously depending on how many pies the driver eats:) How you finding the dealers you purchased from, they were shocking for me you can read my posts in Trike section if ya get board (ha), I'm not the only one to mention? The only one you could trust was Kim, he was good, should be running it him self, do a great job! dealt direct with UK recommend that!! Be lovely to see some more pics Conrad, ill put some up of mine shortly, nice to have first drive, bet ya can't wait. Regards, Will

Hi Will overall weight with out the Burger muncher is around 580 Kg could get that down to 380 Kg with a 50Km range pack maybe good for racing. Had a few hick ups no build manual had to Google pics for suspension set up and chew Kim's ear which he is good for I'm a bit of a Ginny pig a bit like you first one to get a Sonic near running in Australia. got all that fun to look forward to get it registered. Maybe RTR should of got Kim to build each model in Perth before selling a kit. the front calipers I had to machine 8mm off to fit down on disc. Front wheel bearing were 30 thou tight had to machine down stub axles Rear calipers don't even bolt on upright had to re-engineer and bolt to back Rear bearing hubs for uprights now working on 3rd set of hubs that I ended up making to make sure caliper fits over disc all from a RTR suppose bolt together kit. its a good thing I'm an engineer or i would be pulling my hair out by now, and I like a challenge. I'm up to $38K so far which the director of finance is starting to remind me its not going yet. I guess the the reason we build these is for a sense of achievement i wouldn't recommend this to a novice. Cheers Conrad

Hi Conrad, 580kgs is still very light, I'm guessing as you said could bring that down a bit if you realey wanted to, although not many things on the road will be as quick as that! Well Conrad if I told you the problems I had with, shall I say, the Perth RTR supplier, was enough to make a grown man cry, well it did my my wife to be fair!! complete nightmare! Same as you around £38k now Conrad only to be told at one point by vehicle of transport after near completion it may not even be legal to drive on Aussie roads, I've had to do all the chasing up with Vehicle of transport and find an indipendant engineer as once l payed, wanted nothing to do with us!, Was gutted!! Nearly there though Conrad loads of alterations, which to be fair is part of a build, but when you have to alter stuff like I have and I'm sure you have its quite a joke especially the money aspect, Im sure you wife would agree:).Should be finished at weekend Conrad and then will take it for the first time on the road for weight, along with emissions and over the pitts, then vehicle of transport? I'm hoping for good news or, well, wont go there! Send me some pics. Regards Will

Hi Conrad, things moving mate, looks nearly complete, Had my trike on the road for very first time under temp 48 hour licence, at weekend, WooooW!!!! never been or seen anything so quick in my life!!! To be honest Conrad I have had a couple of replica AC Cobras with the Chevy v8 lump but stone me this Trike not only makes the Cobra feel snail like its also like Go cart handling. Had it weighed and emissions done, came in a little heavier than I thought 375kgs, without driver, but I have got 17inc alloys etc which makes a difference. Its been a tough build Conrad with no help what so ever or guidance, but now its done, can see a nice result just like yours. Thinking of building again, but that will 100% be coming from the UK for that order He He!!!! Will put some pics up this week mate. Regards Will

Hi everyone
Quick update put 4.44 ratio diff in made a big difference tried out today took her up to 130 kph then did a u turn and got up tp75 kph and bang the rear wheels lock up and I'm facing the wrong way. Scared the living craps out of me. So waiting for shops to open Monday to try and get a 5.44 ratio lsd diff . Car sticks like $#@* to blanket and brakes extremely well with engine regeneration braking.
Cheers Con
