I've now figured out why it won't fire up. I've replaced the fuel pump but found out its a universal item! Now when the pump primes I can see the feed pipe rise under pressure, but once stopped it soon falls down. I'm sure the universal pump is not sealing correctly and the petrol is return back into the tank and depressurising the fuel line (hence no fuel in the pots).
New pump sender unit is going to be ordered this week to hopefully resolve this issue.
Wired the fan & horn tonight, getting more confident in the wiring department. Pics to follow.

you could try it inline to hold the fuel pressure.

Well yesterday seen another milestone accomplished. I finally managed to fire up the engine after a few weeks of head scratching ( including 3 fuel pumps)!
A big thank you to the guys at Omex for cross checking that all was working from an electrical aspect and Luke at RTR for identifying the simple (but not obvious to me) exchange of the fuel pipes.
I can clarify for future builders, the fuel flow connects to the pipe on the rail (via a filter) and the return to the pressure regulator end of the rail (via a diaphragm) to the tank. I will post some pictures soon.

(all of them) PR, Front are RTR supply Photon headlights and LED side, Rear are CBS supply LED combined side, brake and indicator, combined fog and reverse, LED Focus number plate light from Ebay. I wanted a minimalistic look. Thanks for the comments. Applogies for the non comprehensive build diary, my main focus was on the build however I will gladly provide advise / help to anyone with any questions. |

IVA booked for Friday, many thanks to Mark at Automotive Solutions for finishing off the work in readiness. Fingers crossed.

Some pictures of the final product, it took a little longer and a bit more money but I've got near enough (for IVA) in the end. Once its passed I'll change and tidy up a few bits ready for registration in March 15 plate me thinks.
