Me and the boy picked up my Mk3 double hoop rocket kit yesterday.
Build plan - New registration build using 2.0l engine, I will be trying to keep cost to a (realistic) minimum. I hope to get the car returned to RTR for around September for IVA.
Will keep the build up to date when possible and I'm sure there'll be plenty of questions as this my first kit build (I have previously rebuilt a Defender and worked on Hot Rods).
Thanks in advance for any help.

"Minimum" best thing to do with that statement is screw it up and throw it the bin!!!!

Could someone please confirm if a Mk3 Fiesta steering column UJ will fit the rocket rack? I'm sure I got the link off one of the threads, I have contacted Transit parts with details but he couldn't help me without a chassis number.

Weekend progress - Rear hubs pressed in, rear callipers cleaned up, painted and fitted, Front hubs cleaned up, painted and fitted, steering rack and column fitted and front and rear bulk head templates made (pending additional holes). Floor fitted with suspension loosely fitted. Front suspension, note I just found out that the Focus calipers are not part of the build and aftermarket units are required (another blow to the budget). Rear suspension requires tightening and geometry set-up. Front end sorted, was nearly without original brake caliper mounts until I was informed there used for the wing stays (Thanks Paul). Rear brakes, reused focus and new discs and pads (now't fancy at the moment). Wilwood set-up, took a little time to figure out, but after a few attempts I got there (thats the bit I like, figuring out how it works without step by step instructions). Rack fitted, I lifted it 12mm which has nigh on made it parallel with the wishbone arm. Steering column fitted and new wheel.

Bingo,
I have asked Paul at RTR, just waiting a response. The wheel is a Mountney and not sure of the boss I I purchsed it used (but still looks brand new).
Cheers.
