Started taking apart the Miata today. Not sure how much I'll get done before winter gets too cold to work outside. Need to figure out how to add pictures. If you know, please fill me in. Thanks here are three pictures from one days work

Were are you located looks like pine tree in the background. Nice looking bike.. Do you make it to BBBQ in Fayetteville Arkansas it is a good long weekend with around 300000 bikes.. label and bag things grab the the VIN off the dash and firewall behind the coil pack.. This is from notice section of main page down the bottom.. HOW TO POST YOUR PICTURES USING 'Photobucket' The thing to understand, is that to post your all important 'photos', they must first be on the Internet and have a URL. 1. First open an account with www.photobucket.com, there is no charge. 2. Ensure you know the location of the photos on your PC, which you wish to post. 3. Upload the selected pictures from your PC to your newly opened 'photobucket' account. 4. This is quite straight forward, simply click on 'browse' in photobucket, locate and select the desired photo, double click it, then click 'submit' in photobucket. With a bit of luck a copy of your photo will now be uploaded to your photobucket account. 5. Now that you have successfully uploaded your photo or photo's to photobucket you can now post them here on the 'MEV Owners Forum'. (although you don't have to, it makes it easer, to do multiple photos if you have two windows open 'MEV Owners Forum' and 'photobucket') 6. Identify in 'photobucket' the picture you wish to post, now RIGHT click on the URL, that's the box second from the top 'Direct Link' under the photo, and 'copy' 7. Click on the picture frame on the top of the "create post" page and delete "http://". Now right click and paste in to the box and left click "insert image". Thanks for the reply, its much appreciated. I follow the directions and get the pics up ASAP.
My pic is small but what you probably can't see is my wife wearing a ravens shirt. We are in Maryland and that pic was taken in Ocean City when we were attending the DELMARVA bike week. Been riding 40 years and the bike is not getting any lighter so it thought it might be nice to ride around in the mevster instead.

You can leave the wires on the starter, alt and injectors that harness runs to the back on the PPF under car. remove battery cables and push through floor. Loosen the rear axle nuts while you still have body on and emer brake and foot brakes in place.. Red tag your ground points..about 9/10 of them..looks like you will be haveing rain for a couple of days..Are you working in a garage or ground with a Georgia creeper..

I do have a 2 car garage but the plan was to disassemble the miata outside, rebuild and reassemble inside.
Thanks for the heads up with the harness on the engine, that's what I have to tackle next

Had a good day for the first of the year. The weather was in the mid 40's and I finally got the wiring harness and steering column out. It was a pain doing it by myself but still had fun knowing I'm getting to take a car apart which is something I never had the opportunity to do before.

got the wire harness laid out and I'm ready to remove all the un-necessary wires from it. Coud use your knowledge as to what can and cannot be removed. I know I can start with the air bag system, headlight motor, side markers, door open, cruise control, etc. What else?

I would consider moving this to the correct build forum. I presume its a mevster or exocet
more builders of your model will see your progress and have more help..

I would say move it to the Mevster Section.. As for the wires Don't just cut.. follow each wire, some of the ground)B) ground a couple of things might be one you want to keep.. same with the power wires..All wires for AC,Blower and switch, AC wires in engine compartment and relays.. You will still need the coolant fan wires..Radio and antenna, power windows, power mirrors, door buzzer and dome light, door switch.. Air bag blue connector is the color connector orange is the horn.. Leave the side marker wires.. If you depower the rack remove wire to pump to ECU. Lay out whole harness on plywood put nails in to hold wires in line. Use loose tie wraps after cutting tape to keep wires together in thee run.. Go slow an OHM meter would help.. Harbor Fright has cheap ones and tie wraps..

If you PM the management I'm sure they can help you out with moving this thread to the appropriate section.
This section was added for pictures and videos of track days, run-outs, shows and general MEV cars doing what they do best, getting a lot of attention and making a lot of noise.

Finally got to work on the car again this year. Got the rest of the AC removed and all of the power steering components out. just one question regarding the power steering, where the fluid hose from the pump unbolts from the rack, is there a recommended cap bolt to seal off the rack?
I was also able to unbolted the front end and sway bar. Next will be draining the tank and unbolting the rear, remove the doors, hood, trunk lid and top
