Thanks Slugshot, Yes your right the picture is taken from the top of bottle, it has a sealed screw on top, if I connect to the thermostat section what would you do to the other pipe which serves carbs etc, could I Tee into the feed which will feed the bottle (of the thermostat housing) what do you think?? My radiator does not have separate connection as its a R6 rad to connect to. Thanks for the information of the cables mate. Cheers, Will

regards to gear change mech, the rod from the original sprocket you guys have for gear change. Cheers Will Is it me or does that not make any sense...the rod from the original sprocket... If you mean do we buy or make our own gear change levers and links then I think you'll find by looking through all our threads that we make as much as we can and maybe modify the yamaha parts as well. Cheers Kevin

My gear change cable connects to the original r1 splined fitting that goes on the gear selector shaft. The cable is a push-pull type that does away with the need for the rod.

Giving serious consideration to sending this cable I check the Postal Service restrictions..... Most are common I suppose, and some are fairly strange (Soap etc)
However pay close attention towards the bottom of this list, in Bold for your amusement...

He he! nice one, looks like I may have to order from North Korea!! Thanks for the offer mate, I'll see if that would be long enough, if not where's a good place to purchase, just that Oz is not a big Kit car fan and bits like this are hard to come by, I'm a bit stuck for parts hence the questions lads? It's turning out to be a tough project with no parts at hand, and one thing and another! Still should be worth it. Cheers, William

Hi Will, As for cables I use a Venhill throttle cable with an inner liner for a smooth light feel, with these cables there's no need to add extra springs or a closing cable. They can make one to your length or as I did, buy the cable repair kit that comes too long so it can be cut to length, the kit also comes with an assortment of end fittings. My clutch cable is from CABLE TEC it is their 5mm light weight gearchange cable with 50mm of inner cable movement and uses clevis fittings at both ends. They do set lengths or can make one to your size.

Hi Will,
Take a look on my build thread, iv'e just added a clip from page 18 on my build thread it shows quite clearly the gear change setup and also the clutch cable setup.
There will also be pic's on the other build threads that you might find a better idea but you will have to look yourself.
