Hi Will,
Without a picture its hard to offer help, you say that you bought a coolant bottle but what is it.
Is it a OE R1 expansion bottle or a universal expansion or header tank.
If its a yamaha expansion bottle they normally connect to the little outlet just below the cap on the radiator.
Sorry but without a pic I can't help regarding the rubber hose.
Cheers Kevin

[img src=" i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx322/Bluecob99/DSC04556_zps90bc0754.jpg" src=" " alt=" "] Ok here's some pics, The hose I'm showing is coming off a 25mm water pipe just under the sprocket, seems to split off to various supplies to engine around carb area, this was not connected when I purchased the bike so hence the probs? The chrome overflow tank I purchased has adjustable brackets which I was going to locate above engine area (roll cage area) it has to outlets one is a built in overflow and the other a feed, question is can I hook this, I think 10mm pipe to this tank, and I guess the over flow just has tube directing out below engine?? And then I guess plug the overflow on the radiator etc. The other question guys is where can I order cables for clutch, and accelerator and do you have to measure and order, or do mev supply these? Progress is very slow here in Oz materials is the problem, still can't grumble though, its around 32 - 37 degrees and clear blue skies every day and its spring, I guess difference is your driving your trikes and I'm not !!

Hi Will, I think the hose that comes off the T junction would connect to the top left outlet on the radiator. The short hose coming out of the thermostat housing could be fitted to a header tank at the highest point (roll cage hight) Don't just block the hose outlet at the rad because if it overheats the rad cap will still lift to release coolant but will not have a release point. Look at the thread on how we plumb the system, there's 2 easy to understand ways on how too The picture of your over flow tank is too close up to understand exactly what it is, have you taken the pic looking into it from the top and does it have a screw on cap. So what I'm looking at is a container that holds fluid until the level gets to to the top of the tube and then drains out on to the ground. As for cables I use a Venhill throttle cable with an inner liner for a smooth light feel, with these cables there's no need to add extra springs or a closing cable. They can make one to your length or as I did, buy the cable repair kit that comes too long so it can be cut to length, the kit also comes with an assortment of end fittings. My clutch cable is from CABLE TEC it is their 5mm light weight gearchange cable with 50mm of inner cable movement and uses clevis fittings at both ends. They do set lengths or can make one to your size.

Thanks Slugshot, Yes your right the picture is taken from the top of bottle, it has a sealed screw on top, if I connect to the thermostat section what would you do to the other pipe which serves carbs etc, could I Tee into the feed which will feed the bottle (of the thermostat housing) what do you think?? My radiator does not have separate connection as its a R6 rad to connect to. Thanks for the information of the cables mate. Cheers, Will
