The best laid plans of mice and men etc etc....
Zack (my youngest) has given me Hand Foot and Mouth..... not as bad as the (similar sounding!) Foot and Mouth and for kids it's a relatively minor, but unpleasant, viral infection. For adults.... man, I cannot put into words the ITCHING AND TINGLING! unbelievable.
Oh well, it'll pass.
I have next week off so in between last minute christmas shopping I'm going to try and get a few more bits done on the kit. Diff is still sat on the floor of the local garage (they are doing it as a favour so low priority)....

GOOD NEWS: Diff is back from garage; no apparent fractures/damage to the cradle and mounts in.... BAD NEWS: My hands/joints/face are still messed up from the HFM.... without being too grim about it, even though I used my wreckers to move the diff I still managed to open up sores on my hands... painful 10 yards carrying that to and from the car so I'm still out of action for a few days. Going stir crazy.

MrJ.. Are you front axle nuts torqued down. If so don't see the stake down on the nut.. Good eyes Nope, not staked yet - i'm going to need to remove the again when i sort the wing stays. I have a 'double safety' to make sure i don't miss anything. Anything permanently torqued is dabbed with a paint marker. I also keep a list of things that have/have not been torqued on a whiteboard (not in this shot).

Pushed myself to get back in the garage after the christmas break - new clutch fitted, gearbox and engine reunited and finally on a rolleing subframe with the obligatory props.

Darren have you got the same issue with the front wing stays as me …i.e. one of the stays almost hitting the centre of the top wishbone. If so what are your plans

Try bending them out a little they are a close fit but we managed to get a gap there or you may need to grind a bit of a flat onto the bar

No pics sadly. <HR> Apologies in general for the utter lack of updates recently; I've been run ragged at work (7-7 every day, and just worked both days of the weekend) so I've had 0 energy/inclination to get out in the garage and progress things. Hoping things will quieten down towards the end of the week so I can get back onto this....
