Got lots of little jobs done; cleaned up a ton of rusted bolts, dust boots replaced on the wishbones, brakes cleaned up and rebuilt, sorted some spacers for the pedals ... But absolutely stumped on the drivers bulkhead. Panel doesn't seem to want to go.

Paper templated, g-clamped, compared, fettled. But i can't get a fit i'm happy with. Dogged off, going to park it for a bit and get on with something i can do... Building up the shocks.

Lol I remember that panel well I think it's fitted from the outside of the chassis I can't compare it to ours as I damaged the original panel so we fabricated our own

I wasn't far off! I think it really needs another fold from the crease point on the left to the top right hand cut out to take the flex out from the diff angles for the left and right supports. Add some small bends to align the tabs (and about 2cm more metal on the sides). And it might fit. As it is .... *shrugs* Gonna park it for now, get on with the running gear. Everything is prepped to go on this sunday, got a friend coming over to give me a hand lining everything up. Really wished j had taken more measurements on the PPF; gonna be a pig to sort prop angle and rear thrust angle now.

You will be looking for drive shaft/prop at least 1deg.down from trans with a max of 3deg. (just off straight) When making PPF set up snug the rear bolts to the diff then adjust with the front/trans bolts after set there is a small bracket on front of PPF to trans..

Uesterday went well - front and rear hubs assembled in drivershafts, rack regreased, basically all the final jobs before assembly. The only job i left was to fit the new rubber diff mounts, but it was getting late and i thought it wouldn't take long. Big mistake. Should have known to look at them really; unlike the poly's (which can flex) and the OEM's (which have a split) the IL Motorsport bushes have a solid netal outer. I was told, providing the surfaces were polidhed and oiled i'd only need a gclamp/vice to fit. After 1cm in i knew that was a lie, but i was pot commited. We tried a jack on it's side to make a makeshift press but struggled to keep the rig aligned; in the end out of desperation we resorted to bracing it with wood and trying to drift it in with a wood/plate/lump hammer combo ... After anouther few cm the hammer shaft snapped. The bush was ok .... Just stuck. Admitted defeat after 3 1/2 hours; it was going to end in tears. Will ask local garage to press it in, and tell il motorsport their advice was garbage (shame, the bushes themselves seem ok).

Mr. J you are coming along great.. not to many bumps in the road.. Did you polish up the inside of the housing. Make sure the garage supports the end of the housing CLOSE to the hole.. It is design to break about 4 inchs to center in accident.
