It was until i fitted the cycle wings and thingyed one up but NOT measuring twice and cutting once …. am I allowed to say thingyed !!! Well it better than what I said when I thingyed it up… Oh there I go again !!! Sorry Still one of them looks ok.. The other is … Well lets just say I need to buy a new one as I'll never be happy with it. Still the car is starting to take shape. I see your kit didn't need the upper wishbones cut out to allow the suspension through?

Hutchey
My chassis was made in 2013 and from memory none of the car before this or around this time needed any changes to the wishbone set up. I know a few were tight for space using different dampers etc but other than that no cutting was needed. I believe the changes are due to the 2015 chassis being narrower at the front like the MEVster was.

Managed to get a set that they had sitting loose in the rocket kit that they were dispaying on the stand. Fitting was farly easy using the standard MX5 runners. I used a coupole of dome head M8 bolts to bolt the rear of the seat to the runner and then some more dome head bolt to bolt into a but of tube that was threaded both ends. This allowed me to just keep cutting and grinding down the tube until I was happy with the position of the seat. Only once I was happy with the position did I drill through the seat and fix the front and rear to the rails making sure that the rails were running in line with each other. The seats are made of nice thick fibreglass. I'll spray the rear of the seats and the tube in a gloss black to make them look neater once I strip the car back down. Hi trident. Sorry to delve into the past, but there's not much info out there that I can find. I've got GRP seats, and Stuart's seat mounts fitted onto Mk2.5 rails. Stuart has said to just fibre glass the seats onto the mounts, but a) I've never glassed anything b) glassing would seem to be the weakest point of the whole unit. Tempted to go with M8 domed bolts with some rubber gasket/washer, or maybe "belt & braces" and do both. You happy with the 4 bolts option?

Sorry for delay but been very busy. The bolt option i used was fine as long as you also use some penny washers.
