Whilst on the fuel subject. Is there a way to reset the fuel gauge on the car. Mine currently only goes up to half a tank even though there is much more fuel in. This is of course how much fuel was left in the donner when the tank was removed.

Popped over to Skuzzle Motorsport in Winchester and had the engine set up on the Dyno. The timing was out on the cam sensor by about 14˚ !!!! Once Nick had a bit of a play with the engine it was running so much better with better power throttle response and Torque. If your within travelling distance of Winchester I would definitely recommend Skuzzle Motorsport. The green line was the power and Torque when I got there and the Red was when I left. I know it's not as much as some of you guys have when running a turbo but it's still very nice. Now I must sort out the aero screen !

Those numbers are actually quite impressive considering there is about a 25% power increase. Goes to show what a good tuner can do!

Haha love the Video. Would be good to see more driving! Just a teaser as I only had a small amount of video. Need to borrow my mate Go Pro… This one has the exhaust sound. The speed was only up to 40mph because of the speed limits in the New Forest

So I'm made a start on the aero screen. The angles are different on the mounting surfaces of the engine cover which results in a twist of the screen causing the the passenger side to look lower than the drivers side. Those that have an exocet will know this this and it has been mentioned in other builds such as NITRAMs mevowners.proboards.com/thread/3069/nitrams-build?page=9Having explored various option to fit the screen so it looked even I finally came up with this simple option. The passenger side fixing angle is 35º whilst the drivers is 41.6º 9 ( UK car ) the difference is therefore 6.6º If we half that 6.6 to 3.3 and then make a packing washer with a 3.3º surface one side and a flat surface the other side. The material used was Delrin which is a machinable hard plastic. I also had some top washers made as well with a counter sink for m6 bolt. The packers then sit on the mounting surface. On the passenger side where the angle is 35º the thick side sits at the top giving a new mounting angle of 38.3º. On the drivers side they are rotated 180º so the thick side sits at the bottom there by reducing the fixing angle from 41.6 to ………. 38.3º. We now have a even fixing angle to mount the screen. I used a plywood template to make a screen first so I could adjust the shape etc until i was fully happy. I have also left a gap at the bottom of the screen to allow airflow behind the screen surface slightly as well. test drive went well and the extra force applied to the screen prevented the slight bonnet lift i was getting from the wind on the underside in the engine bay. The washers work very well and I now have no twist on the screen. Just need to make a screen now that I can see through as well.

Ok screen has now been done and all the edges polished. M6 countersunk bolts used. No twist in the screen as the angles are now the same on both sides. Oh...the transformer autobot sticker on the centre console is to keep my 8 year old son happy as it is a transformer. MX5 - Exocet I do however refuse to call it Bumble Bee….. well….. it would need to be Yellow and black!! Any name suggestions are welcome..
