Thanks for the help on my registration issues. Anyway, unable to use the car till this is sorted so I've been fiddling with some post IVA upgrades. First missile switches added to the centre console. Next job was to replace the IVA mirrors with some carbon effect mirrors to match the rear view mirror and side repeaters. Pleased with these. Then added a flyscreen courtesy of Tridents design. I went with a tinted polycarbonate. Polished edges look good. Ha, love the 'tool wall' reflection on the bonnet. Looks like is 'pasted on' its just the way the photo came out.

All, still can't drive car, so between decorating bedroom's at home I'm chipping away at the post IVA upgrades. In a previous post Scooby commented that the rear end would look good with the exhaust poking through a carbon panel. This was aways one of the ideas we had floating around so made up a mould and started forming a carbon panel. Vacuum forming underway. Next job once it was cured was to start the cutting process. Had to remove the exhaust to fit and trim. Next photo is part way through the trimming process. Panel locates behind the fog and reversing light and then via 25mm P clips to the bottom of my rear frame. Next photo, exhaust hole cut, rear box reinstalled. Couple of other views, needs to grow on me. What do others think?

A big Congratulations on the completion and Finally registration! I've been meaning to ask which Mirrors you chose and where you got them. And are they useful! Now for upgrades!

John did you have to fill in that v627 form in the end???
As well as the registration fee which from memory I think is £55 do you also send the money for tax.
Any help much appreciated as I am going to send mine tomorrow

So clocked up 70 miles over the weekend and here's my first impressions; I'm generally really pleased with the car so far. I have two annoying rattles (dash and drivers rear bulkhead panel) I need to sort, and I have to increase the clearance between the exhaust box and my carbon panel as it's closer one side that the other. Apart from that the car drives well. Very grippy rear end when cornering. From a standing start, dump the clutch and it just spins in 1st, short shift and a bit of spin in second. Pulls well up to 65 ish when I come off the gas (for the time being). I really pleased with the thingypit comfort levels. Trident's screen design works very well, cruising at 50/55 is nice no wind effect, even at 60+ the wind effect is minimal. My stock steering wheel has to go as the vinyl covering is moving on the wheel. Nice Suede one to be fitted. One small disappointment is not being able to see the front wheels this is due to my side infill panels, however I'm sure these contribute to the thingypit not being that windy. I like being able to hear the rear tires fight for grip from the rear of the car. Exhaust fumes is the only other bug bear at this point. I can smell the exhaust whilst driving so either I'm get exhaust fumes back into the car from the rear or I have a leaking exhaust joint (hoping its the later). Need to check all my joints. Has anyone else noticed this??? Exhaust note is sweet and a bit louder without the cat. All in all very good so far. I even got Mrs G out in the car, not sure she is a real fan.
