Yeah cheers, I know what Grit is, the only Grid on the road I know about is starting Grid, but to be honest Edwin, you could have meant that too

Another disadvantage: The MEVowners forum is English language only. For non native English speakers: Beside the challenge of building a vehicle and getting it road legal, free of charge a training urban English is included. www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=englishkevin: Thank you for backing me up...

New disadvantage: Traction.
Combination of a tR1ke and some moist roads needs a concentrated driver. at 12s
Slipping rear wheel when accelerating.

Disadvantage of a tR1ke: The 150 bhp Yamaha R1 engined tR1ke is not really designed for winning a fuel ecomarathon.
The weight of the Tr1ke is low, but the power of the engine is perhaps a bit more than strictly neccessary. My tR1ke does an average of 8,3L / 100KM (about 29 miles/gallon)

The economy can be easily improved Edwin, with an air-fuel monitor fitted and a sensor taking readings from the exhaust, you will see how far out the carburation is. I re jetted mine and gained 12 miles to a gallon which I didn't believe at first but after a few tank refills it proved correct. This was before I added the air scoop which needed big changes to the setup.

Have you noticed improvements with the airscoop?

This afternoon visited a local dynojet dealer.
The tR1ke does not fit his setup for test runs.
He suggested to check the exup valve setting first. Second is to visit the dynojet dealer in south west Netherlands. (Www.Tovami.com) Dynojetting the carburators and fine adjustment during some test runs.
Will see.

Hahaha. Today is a prime example of a disadvantage. Its raining hard, I've paid my money for a track day, but it involves two hours of driving down in the rain, and driving home in it too.....
I need a hard top solution. ;D

Yeah. While you have rain, we have tropical 35 degrees C. Floating out your tR1ke by precipitation or by transpiration, whats the difference?

tR1ke has no roof.... Bring a bucket or wear a pamper when you park your tR1ke on a parking place.
