A full windscreen would be a challenge but the design ,,,,even more so. I agree w/Rik about the philosophy,,,,,keep it simple.

Well after the crappy summer we have just had, I want extra protection now. I will look into it over the winter, I won't be fitting anything that does not compliment the look of my TR1KE. Looking at various T-Rex's they use a partial screen, enough flick to get air over, might look at that. All good ideas

I love idiot car drivers telling me that my tr1ke would be better if it had a 4th wheel, What do you all think? Just show me the location of a spare wheel I recently saw some youtube footage of the Morgan history and the trikes dominating races for quite a while. The Lomax is known to take corners very hard as well! Not interested in a Mevabusa.

Perhaps you may have a look at the caterham windows, roof or Donkervoort for inspiration.

The tr1ke sits low. You can file your finger nails by gently touching the tarmac with your finger tips. However on a bumpy road it is difficult to get the nail edges smooth. So for your girlfriend or wife it means: coming along in the tr1ke is not equal to a free manicure. That's a disadvantage..... Sent from my GT-S5660 using proboards

I love Donkervoort designs, I also love my TR1KE, I only want to add a facility to put a roof to incorporate a windscreen of sorts on a temporary basis. Not full time, good for longer trips like Holland etc. But only if it looks correct, if not, a crash hat will do, after all I am a biker and use to wet weather.

I assume you want to build a construction with tubes and couplings like these. www.ijzershop.nl/183-koppeling-a And fix a front window to it. Ill stay with my helmet..... Sent from my GT-S5660 using proboards

Bad off road capabilities.
With 12 cm of ground clearance the Tr1ke will get stuck on the first molehill it encounters while off-roading.
Better is to keep the tR1ke on dry tarmac.

Another disadvantage: tried to join the track sessions at Zandvoort today. The track manager found the tR1ke too dangerous and the driver was too exposed, compared to the other cars on the track. So... I went home again. Angry and disappointed...

Yeah we had a similar thing going on at a track day in the UK that Kevin booked to go to. I think we seriously need to setup a session of cornering and handling videos to email to people, I think when you mention trike, people assume you are driving the Grinnal type, which sits much higher up, terrible cornering lifting wheels, surely anyone wanting to track a vehicle thinks about their own safety first?
Driver exposed? So do they turn away motorbikes?
Sounds like you spoke to a complete and utter jobs worth at the track.
Maybe when Kevin and I come across in the new year, we can all take a trip to the track and speak to the officials?

I think we will have to organize track days ourselves just for MEV kits. The boss of the track day that I was refused to attend at Blyton had seen a grinnal turn over after lifting a wheel higher lap after lap until the inevitable happened. He wouldn't tell me what make of trike it was, and no amount of reasoning with him would change his mind. It wasn't until I went to Blyton for the KITCAR magazine photo shoot that the manager of Blyton told me what had happened and what kind of trike it was. He had no problem at all letting me out on the track, in fact he was having a good look around it and seemed impressed with the design. The short utube video of me with a passenger was on that day, And ok I wasn't pushing to the limit with a passenger i had just met but at no point was it going to lift a wheel never mind turn over.
Leighton(RTR) did say to me that it would be a good idea to have an exclusive MEV track day but he is racing this coming year so I imaging he'll be to busy now. Don't forget we have the fantastic curborough sprint day that Nigel organized , so hopefully he'll do it again.

You can file your finger nails by gently touching the tarmac with your finger tips. However on a bumpy road it is difficult to get the nail edges smooth. I know a guy who bought one of those Blokarts (http://www.blokart.com/) secondhand. He noticed that the GRP axle was looking a little sad but decided to try it out anyway before fixing it. Whilst belting along on a tarmac strip he decided to put his hand under the axle to check it was holding out and at that point it gave way trapping his hand. He ground away more than his finger nails
