Yeah we had a similar thing going on at a track day in the UK that Kevin booked to go to. I think we seriously need to setup a session of cornering and handling videos to email to people, I think when you mention trike, people assume you are driving the Grinnal type, which sits much higher up, terrible cornering lifting wheels, surely anyone wanting to track a vehicle thinks about their own safety first? Driver exposed? So do they turn away motorbikes? Sounds like you spoke to a complete and utter jobs worth at the track. Maybe when Kevin and I come across in the new year, we can all take a trip to the track and speak to the officials? I think I just don't want to join that kind of sessoins anymore. These days are organized by RSZ and there are too many idiots on the track, so I assume it must have been safer for me if I wouldn't be driving amongst those fools... For motorbikes they have separate track days (org. by MAC), to avoid careless car drivers amongst the bikes. I am going to write them an email to request it, but I don't think a tR1ke will be welcome at those days... But... There are more track days organised, by others (HARC or Vijverberg trofee). But the big disadvantage is that you must subscribe for the entire day then, which will cost about €500,-. With the RSZ days you only pay €25,- for a 20 minutes session... I will investigate it further... Maybe something can be arranged cheaper if a group of cars is involved.

..there are too many idiots on the track.. The person who sold me my front wheels is a racing enthusiast with a nice BMW 3 serie. ( www.hoogendoornwheels.nl) He warned me for exactly the same. I will investigate it further... Maybe something can be arranged cheaper if a group of cars is involved. Count me in!

I find everyone takes an interest in it, appreciation from all walks of life, Porsche, Ferrari owners all very interested. I find only one group of people jealous or just too pompous. These are the older generation driving Mercedes Benz. Like the 300 series, the big Benz series, I find most of them snooty, and thinking that they are better than me. I found the same when I had my Boom Lowrider. I find it comical. Some people say the feel silly driving this type of vehicle in towns and cities ( a top gear reference) a typical view and one shared by all non Kit Car owners only in my opinion. I dont feel stupid. I feel proud to be driving what I built.

The tR1ke has no roof. Beside no protection from rain, also no protection from sun. Because of higher speed capabilities a hat only lasts for 5 seconds.
So cover you head up in sunlotion when driving along. Perhaps a sunblocker should be included with the kit from MEV....

not so good for collecting large items from B&Q ( my loft hatch didn`t fit ) What you need is a vacurac system, you can stick it onto the bodywork at the front, and strap things onto the front.......

New disadvantage: As far as I know: donut-ting a tR1ke is difficult.

Yes, the tR1ke does collect grid. Not only at the front. I even found grid in the center tunnel. Only way to get in is by the space I made to fix the seat belts. Now and then vacuum cleaning is needed. Yes mines the same the grit gets everywhere, my tunnel is held down with 10 5mm stainless rivnuts so while the tunnel is removed to check the coolant hoses I get the vacuum cleaner out. Because of the open frame the tR1ke collects some grit while driving. We can send a complaint to RTR: a vacuum cleaner should be included with the kit.

That sounds like what is put on the roads in this area of the world. The locals call it chat, which is ground up stone they use during the winter snow fall. It's moved to side by the vehicles if they don't broom it off in the spring. Quite dangerous for the 2 wheelers & causes easy "drifting" when it collects at the bottom of a hill on a curve.

Corrected.
Grit are the small stone chips, that covers the tarmac roads. On Dutch we call it grit as well.
