Yes will deffo be changing the water pump as well. alot of people recommend changing the cam shaft seals as well but i am old school if they are not leaking i am leaving them alone

We update give all the wishbones a good buff up. Still need a lot more prep so got fed up after about 2 hours. I then removed front shocks, power steering belt and then alternator belt. I removed the air con unit and its bracket Our people removing the power steering pump?  |

Yes, get rid of the power steering pump and bracket and you can link one of the rubber pipes to join the inlet and outlet ports. Theres plenty of build threads on here where you will be able to see what Im talking about.

Hi Chris
From the picture your parts don't look that bad a good sanding should bring them up and ready for painting , I completely striped the steering rack and removed the power steering system but sum guys just looped the pipes , I the same thing . It very responstive without power steering
Wile you hve the access change the pump &imming belt also do a oil change I forgot to do it when the engine was on the ground and it was tight to do it with all in place

Finally finished with my donar and its now ready for the scrapyard. Got the pedals removed and finally got the loom removed. Really not looking forward to sorting this out  |

Finally got rid of the shell last night. Was busted after doing a track day in my other mx5. For the first time ever ran the car on track tyres and what a difference these make.   |
