Took me 3 hours yesterday to fit the headlamps, I am still not happy with them, will have to get some proper brackets to allow them to be altered up and down and left and right.

I have sourced a trailer to move my Trike down to Notts once its built, a local firm in Hudds, its a Plant Trailer so not really ideal, but I am sure we can lift the rear section onto it, or I will get a suitable steel ramp made to make this happen...£35 plus vat for the day... A bargain indeed.
Looking forward to a full day of hard work tomorrow to hopefully turn out a great result.

A fantastic day today saw me get all the lights working, front side, dip and main beam, I have fitted my trick slick all in one LED strips, I hope they are up to the job for MSVA, if not I have a backup pair. Rear side, brake and indicators look great. Got the horn and hazard circuit setup, will run several things through an independant fuse box like the Kliktronic, Horns and Hazards so far. Got my centre tunnel in to get the riser panel from the tunnel up to the dash in place and cut accordingly. So far have drilled and fitted the choke cable, other things to fit will be Ignition switch, Immobiliser, 12V Cig socket and maybe a clock too, I intend to use the original horn on the left switch gear, and put a couple of buttons into the tunnel riser for Fan overide and Reverse motor. Fitted the fuel sender bezel, just need that sender now, also re-fitted the clock on the dash.

Yesterday managed to move the temp sender to near the thermostat, have bought some more switches and bits n bobs to allow removal of steering wheel, drained the oil and filter removed, got more oil to put in, a new fuel filter, oil filter. and need to fill up with coolant now. Once filled up with coolant and wires tidied up, the nosecone can go back on, hopefully at the weekend.

Good and steady progress. What joints you have used for the steering column?
They are much more compact than the types I have found.

Cheers mate,
I have a simple plate making the join as a ver temporary basis, we have a place in the UK called CBS or Car Builder Solutions, they actually do a purpose made universal splined bar on both ends, I think its £29 so I will order this and cut it down and weld it so its a proper job, it will be one of the last jobs that gets done, unless I need to take it for a spin :-)
Cheers
Nick

Got the brake lights working tonight, seem to have a leak on the 13mm Oil Cooler pipe coming from the radiator just as it joins and passes the handbrake, bust remove the crappy jubilee clips and replace with quality hose clips which should fix that leak. On the final run of wires down to the front which include the side lights and radiator fan switch. I think I will move the battery forward so the main lead to run is the Starter Motor one, I think I will run a car amp main power lead, due to its length and thickness of cable. Oil Filter fitted, new oil in, couldn't fit the sandwhich plate, not enough room. I may have to drill and tap the front of the oil cooler in order to fit the oil pressure switch. Been playing with the Kliktronic wiring again, not happy with paddle setup, so I have drilled the steering wheel and fitted the original buttons into the centre pad, still not sure about this either, may get nicer buttons from Maplin and see how it looks, otherwise its a new steering wheel and a better paddle system and mainly wiring being much neater is my worry.

got the battery moved forward, and the fan and thermo switch wiring is now forward, re-wired the starter motor and run a fresh cable for the earth, just 1 earth cable to run for the loom and thats all the cables run forward. Healtech Speedo Healer wired in place with remote selector ready for the dash, slight leak on the oil cooler pipe from the radiator, hopefully sorted now with better pipe clips. Its gonna be time soon to tidy the floor area and concentrate on the front wiring to be done on Saturday and then fit the rear firewall and get the ECU etc mounted onto the rear of the Firewall.

Had a funny old day, got more wiring sorted and got the hazard circuit, horn circuit and other bits wired through the fuse box and live and also switched live for the horns and kliktronic, then the kliktronic decided to only operate up the box, after lots of messing resoldering buttons, then paddles, I checked the wiring back to the unit, it seems the cable tying of wires may have streched some, so I just rewired the entire unit and now its back on :-) Seems I spent all afternoon on this and really did nothing much else, managed to cut the tunnel to meet the rear firewall, looks much better now, Trike is 95% finished now

Managed to get the Kliktronic unit to work properly now. Took a bit of thinking about, probably spent 8 hrs altogether trying to figure it out. Now it seems to be working well. Won't know for sure till my engines running again.

Got all the gauges wiring done tonight. Now I have quick working connections for Fuel, Temperature, Volts and Oil Pressure. Also mounted the ignition switch in the upper tunnel along with hazard switch and gear selector display. Seem to have lost the flashing 12v led on the hazard switch despite the hazards working. Need to run cables from the oil pressure switch, temp switch and fuel sender and that takes care of the gauges.

Got my Oil Pressure plumbing kit today, so all being well should get that plumbed in this weekend and will concentrate on getting coolant in, fuel in, coolant bled, Oil, Water and fuel sender wires down to the front and read to rock. Should hopefully have my rear stand off panel for ECU and other bits, and also my headlight brackets, once I am confident the coolant side of things is not leaking, I shall finally fit the nosecone and maybe the gauges.

Just got my Headlight brackets made, they are just what I needed, and I will powder coat and fit them tomorrow, will only get half a day on it tomorrow due to a trip over to Road Track race in the morning, Hoping to still get the gauges sender wires run and spliced in and also hopefully get fuel in the tanks and get it fired up to bleed the coolant through.

Got a few things done tonight, got my headlamp brackets drilled and fitted, will Powder coat them this week, just wanted to see how they will look, fitted my nosecone again just to see what my gauges would look like in, checkout the video clips, I must say whilst drilling my brackets and looking around to see my TR1KE front end, It looks ver slick, I love it so much...
Have ordered an oil pressure gauge in the same series as these gauges, and hope to get back on track, need people to stop calling and breaking me off. ;D
