Hi Jay- quick question - have you fitted the MEV Front upper suspension arms? I have them and I cannot get the polybushes in the kit supplied by MEV to fit ... the Inside diameter of the arms is 39 mm and the bush is 40mm ... even cleaning off Powder coat ... they are 1 mm too small ! Thans Gareth Put them in a pan of boiling water,

Thans Gareth Hi Gareth, No I used the original upper wishbones from the donor. Getting bushes in can be a paint, i used the threaded bar method. As advised by others though, softening them up works well. Just persevere and you will get them in. Mine aren't the best either, I have the flo-flex bushes in but if the ride seems harsh etc, i will look to upgrade to better ones from MEV or somewhere with an offer on after the IVA Kind Regards Jason

Just brut force and then allow the wishbones to settle with wheels on and under weight BEFORE you tighten all the bush bolts up

So I had my IVA last Friday (26th April) and it failed on literally just one item, High Lambda reading. Everything else passed, no advisories or other failure points and the assessor was confident it was going to be a first time pass but unfortunately 1 figure let us down.
My readings were as follows:
Fast Idle Test CO = 0.14 HC = 14 Lambda = 1.363 (Fail)
Second Fast Idle Test CO = 0.16 HC = 9 Lambda = 1.332 (Fail)
The limit is 1.030 so I am clearly way over and running LEAN.
The assessor believed that because of that figure and the fact we didn't notice any exhaust leaks etc that the o2/ lambda sensor was faulty.
So, I have now replaced the sensor and will take this to a garage this weekend to have it checked. Hopefully this is all that the problem was. As it was running so lean, you would normally suspect exhaust leaks etc but it is a brand new system including cat from cobra sports, all welded, and i couldn't find any leaks when i was checking.
If the garage shows the emissions as failed, and again high lambda, then i will have to investigate further.
Both assessor and myself were gutted as I went, NOT expecting a first time pass without any 'just add this/ change this' etc, but I was so close lol
Fingers crossed I can get it sorted and retested asap and then be on the road with you all soon!

Have you replaced them both with Denso sensor, Clive at Autotronix at Laughton who does a lot of tuning for guys who race MX5's advises only Denso as others seem to not work as well with the ECU. Shame you have bought some I've just removed 2 from my car as I've gone ME442 & it uses a single Wideband, so I have a couple that have only done about 1K
But good result on the test, I know what it feels like to get so close to the pass, but not, at least the next time it'll only be a 15 minute job, but you're another £150-200 poorer
