Any idea on your chassis completion date? I am #110, and am trying to gauge my possible completion date (w/out powder coat). Talked to Taylor at Exo today, and think your #100 is being completed now (but please don't hold me to that)! Also curious what seat that is on the wall in your garage. Oh that's great news. Means mine is on the table. I will call Kevin Monday for an update and to confirm my pick up plans.

What part of Texas? I would recommend bring it out to NASA events. I don't know what your skill level is but I am the lead instructor for HPDE1/2 and will be running my Exo in TT3 for time attack / ST3 for wheel to wheel this year. I recommend throwing away the street pad and getting a Hawk dtc30 or 60. Even with a light car the hps and hp+ pads over heat in the summer. Dtc 30 are nicer on the street do to them having a less aggressive bite but the 60s are my favorite and have worked the best for everyone I know. I'm located in Fort Worth. Jeff, this is Nick from Metroplex Miatas BTW. Skill level...hmm. I started autocrossing when I was 20 or so when I still lived in Florida. 2x track days at GIR and 1 Chin event at Sebring before I moved to Texas. Since moving to Texas 2 years ago I've been to ECR for 5 track days including the two toy runs. 2:08 lap time there with a lot of room for improvement. I really need experience away from ECR though. I really want to finish my build by late Feb to be ready for the March NASA event at Cresson or the April Chin event at TWS. Luckily if I don't finish the Exocet in time I can still drive the S2000 at the Cresson event. I bought the new Hawk replacement for the HP+ but I'll probably pick up the DTC pads once I get the car moving as well. I was not aware the DTC has less bite otherwise I would have purchased those off the bat. I'm very worried about locking these brakes up too easily. Also, picked up the 949Racing Wilwood proportioning valve kit to help. Any idea on your chassis completion date? I am #110, and am trying to gauge my possible completion date (w/out powder coat). Talked to Taylor at Exo today, and think your #100 is being completed now (but please don't hold me to that)! Also curious what seat that is on the wall in your garage. My completion date should be any day now. I will pick up whatever weekend after I get my invoice from Kevin. Jeff is correct, the seat is an Ultrashield Rally Sport in 17" width. I'll be picking up a 16" for the passenger side.

Transmission is back in with new seals, Exedy stage 1 clutch, and F1 flywheel. Also replaced the tail shaft seal which was somewhat covered in fluid. Got some more parts and Exomotive goodies in for Christmas as well. Also bit the bullet to order new front wheel bearings/hubs and ARP wheel studs due to having an issue with my S2000 in the last week. Despite always using a torque wrench to tighten the lugs on my S2000, I noticed I had two studs snap after my last session at a recent track day. Ended up being an issue with warped hub rings but I don't trust the original hardware on either car anymore and will be replacing them all.

Where are you located? That 2nd exo looks a lot like one that is around Charlotte nc. Just noticed I used the wrong picture from my Photobucket album lol updated picture and I'll post some updates when I get home from work. I am glad I am not nuts. I questioned it for few minutes.

DTC are designed for getting a blasted with heat under hard short braking unlike hps/hp+ that are designed for high heat but not repeated extreme stopping. DTC30 and are dirty pad and that's why they are less aggressive but I have not had a time with DTC60 on the street that they didn't feel like a normal mad.

Any word on your kit? I'm 102 and interested in where they are in production.

I was wondering the same ... I'm a bit further down the line (#110), and have not gotten any response from Exomotive to the last two emails I sent to try to get some idea on timing, as I have to arrange logistics somewhat in advance.

I too haven't had luck getting a response from Kevin. I'm supposed to get my chassis next Friday but no confirmation. Mine is #101.

Luke just got his too (#98) and mentioned he saw a few race chassis ready to be powder coated. I assume one of them is mine but...
I just need to confirm pickup as it's coinciding with a hauling job we are doing to cover the cost of the trip. A delay isn't an issue if I can give the guy a heads up.

Finally got a response from Kevin. Assembly of #100 got bumped before #99 to meet the a scheduled pick up plans and I told Kevin I could wait for #101. It's cold as balls so I don't feel like being in the garage anyway right now. Ha!
If you guys haven't heard the news, they are switching freight haulers for powder coated chassis now. Sounds like Exomotive has teamed up with Stewart Transportation who do all of Factory Five's kit deliveries as they have custom cranes in their trucks and are setup to specifically ship component vehicle kits.
The chassis repairs has put the powder coaters schedule behind so that's why things are so tight right now. Hopefully this move will prevent further issues!

That's good and bad. Rates should go up substantially for transport but chassis should not be harmed anymore. It will be more cost effective to have mine coated locally. Not to hijack this thread anymore but did you call Kevin or get an email from him?

Good to hear Saturday pickups are possible ... that will help me logistically when mine is ready for p/u. Pepper ... from what you arranged, is that a 'normal' thing, or a special arrangement?

Kevin was open to me picking up any time including Sunday. I don't think this is anything out of the ordinary.
