Have you had a chance to make any progress on your custom audio system?

How are you finding traction. I am upping the rears to 225 tyres from 195 to give it a bit more stick. Was thinking of going large but might have to the up the rear arches.
1st - useless 2nd - lossing traction over 4k revs 3rd - fine with 2 people in the car, by yourself bit of spin at 5-6k revs 4th - put your foot down.
Granted its lots of fun....

Re larger tyres, without reducing tyre pressure you've got the same size contact patch. Granted there may be some directionality to the grip but wider tyres will just make the front to back of the contact patch smaller will they not?

Traction, yea none of that, 1st, nup 2nd, still none, 3rd, sometimes In the wet even 6th at 100k's lights up, I'm running 225's and I have just ordered camber arms for the rear to try and flatten the rears out for more surface contact.
With the new ecu I will change to bigger injectors, currently running 440 will look at something round 750cc. That sound let me easily get the extra power, the new ecu will let me do boost control by gear selection. So I'll pull boost in lower gears.

Are you looking at upping the rods/pistons? What is the magic BHP figure you have at the moment? 440's will be fine up to 260-70 area.

Its tuned on 95 octane (So I can fill it anywhere) and 230HP, Not planning on doing the internals at the moment, I was about to purchase all the bits to build a forged engine but changed my mind at eh last minute and decided up upgrade the management. There are plenty of people running 300hp without opening up their engines yet. I'm also planning on running a fuel flex sensor so I can run dual fuel with E85 (ethanol), this should allow a bit bore boost and more timing and more importantly less chance of detonation when thrashing it.

All but the spoiler has been fitted and I picked it up from tuning today, we achieved 254hp up from 224 hp however had to stop at 12PSI as the wastegate wont stay shut. It has to go back in for tuning ethanol so will get hold of a stronger wastegate actuator before then. The goal is 300hp on ethanol E85, that should be easy enough. I also have another engine I'm giving the old freshen up, new rings, bearings, valve stems e.t.c. No need to forge it with my goals. should be good.
