I have to say finally if ever I needed some motivation to get moving on again,
the attention it received whilst out of the garage was unbelievable.
My robin hood used to turn heads when on teh drive, but not in the same was this did.
I hope it gets as much attention when it is on the road.
IVA to be booked for end of march.

You need to fit some, alloy 1mm thick, washers between the front grill and the side panels so as to even out the shut lines, then you should find that the bonnet will slide further forward. Will try and find a pic of mine, sure I've posted this some where. Found it ;D nigel

Hi Andrew.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! IT LOOKS AMAZING!!!! If I was ever to build a Sonic it would be in exactly the same color scheme you chose! Great alloys too! How long ago did you get your kit? What was your donor? was it a write-off? if so, what category? what engine size? 1.8 or 2.0?
I keep looking at it and my jaw keeps dropping lower and lower, mate! Have you got a deadline as to when you'd like to have the car ready to BIVA?
Congratulations once again.
José.

Thanks Nigel
Will take a look at that tomorrow,
Thanks for your comments Jose, I loved it in blue and white (it was actually your car Nigel that made me decide to change my car) but that had been done before, so black and white was the next best choice.
The donor was a Cat D 2.0l focus, Only got it after discussing with DVLA regarding the age related plate issue.
AS mentioned I am looking at getting to its IVA by end of next month
fingers crossed

Ok
been a bit quiet lately
Trying to build this car, whilst studying part itme for my MBA, and working is getting a bit hectic. Now have to head back to Asia for a week on business, so having to waste even more time before I can finish this.
just thought I would update current situation
As mentioned in another post, I am currently finishing the wiring, and have a few wires still to connect.
I need to finish the engine cover, I still need to cus teh air intakes etc and secure the scoop to the lid.
I have now fitted the bearing for the steering column and that now needs to be refitted - will be complete this week.
My petrol tank is currently at one of my suppliers at work, an aluminium fabricator, to make a cover, that should be back this week, then the petrol tank can be fitted.
I therefore expect to fire the negine in anger for the first time in about a fortnight
will keep you posted
