How have you not found www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/261401677536 ? Hope you're feeling better soon; it will be frustrating but invest in the boredom for a better and quicker overall recovery.

Ha, have already got some Red and Shiny cable ties, bet you are not surprised. Will use them when everything is in place. When I broke my back I found the biggest jumps in recovery were at the end when I was able to start work on a kitchen renovations, way better physio than the exercises. With my elbow/wrist I did a bathroom. So I reckon the garage will be well suited to the knee

BTW you can see from the list of injuries sustained that I am doing my best to live up to my signature line

I am shocked how little I have done in the last few weeks. then again pretty normal for me I suppose, but the knee surgery has caused more limitations than I thought it would. Well to be exact not being at work has been the major problem as I have not had access to the things I normally would have. Little things that I didn't think twice about have held me back. So for the good of the company I volunteered to return early, three days a week for four hours a day and will now be able to resume progress. First hold up was access to the ovens to bake the carbon prepreg. I was able to make a fibreglass mould at home to make the second front panel and on Friday I cooked up the panel itself. Got to make the last of the retaining clips but the panel sits nice and has saved a whole 1kg in weight over the aluminium ones watch out sammy Will now be able to finish the front end which is good, going to spray the rack before final installation though. Also decided to add a master cutoff switch. This one is a waterproof model.

Highly recommended that you do to stop vibration/shear IMO

TBH I am becoming afraid to comment now in case someone takes the hump even though I may have a point. Imagine if that shiny red paint were to crack!

Originally I was indeed going to miss the bolt out but I considered what would happen if the bracket was anchored only by the steering arm bolts and one of those bolts failed due to wing vibration There is a reason it is not there currently - the apprentice boy at work has not made the spacers for me, er.... not done the training exercise I set him . I will be fitting them shortly.

God help that poor apprentice if those spacers are not made to the last micron.......

How can you tell what I did to widen the track on my road car from the other side of the world? Spooky!

I was required to fit a heat deflector to help prevent heat from the radiator blowing onto the brake lines, initially just made a simple aluminium panel but having some insulation left over from the tunnel I added some to the back of this. Then final fitted it. Also sprayed my steering universal joint and my steering tie rods before refitting Final fitted the steering cover. It actually feels good to be ticking off jobs now knowing they are done.
