Thanks guys, much appreciated.
Ned, the gaiters were made from the focus handbrake leather and a replacement leather for an Audi TT (ideal size) about £6 on ebay. the rings are just cut and polished 5mm plate aluminium and they sandwich the leather to the tunnel.

Hi mate Really good looking build and love the colour scheme (I have the same Is it possible to take some pictures of how you mounted the gearbox mount to the chassis as mine doesn't fit right (pics in my thread if you want to look), also is the engine side mount flush with the chassis or have you raised it at all? Thanks

See pics below, When I ordered the kit I asked for the mounts to be welded to the frame in the different position for the ST gearbox. Eventually I ended up raising it 12mm and moving it back about 40mm to get the engine level and paralell with the frame. A lot of guys seem to use spacers to jack it up but that doesn't allow lateral movement if needed. I landed up cutting the original mount down to a minimum and then cutting out a hole in some 12mm ali plate off centre. this moved the centre back and lifted it 12mm as required. hope this helps Marc

Thanks for that
I'm using the standard gearbox so I've decided to just make the mount a little larger by welding some metal to the sides and cut off the excess to make it sit properly and look good!
But thats for the pics they did help. The car looks great too!

Can anyone give me an idea of the ideal tyre pressures to use, I am having a little difficulty figuring it out. The tyres are 205 40's
Any help would be appreciated.

Very happy bunny, scraped through the IVA on Tuesday.
Booked for 8 am, arrived after 2 hrs on the M25 in the teeming rain, only to discover the cover I was using wasn't waterproof!
Absolutely soaked including 3" of water in the seats!.
The test was finally finished at about 1, blimey they really do check everything in intimate detail.
FAIL.....Doh.
On the following:
1.front left brake force insufficient 2.front indicators 40.5cm from outer edge. 3. Fog light not showing a correct "E" mark!
The guy then said if you can sort it out over lunch, he could do a retest. Chaos insured as I had to load the car back on the transporter, tank off to Halfords, buy the crappiest looking caravan type lights imaginable and fit them!. it was then back to the test centre for a couple of laps round the place with the brakes on to bed them in. The indicators had some tactical bending and I just about made it back in time. talk about sweaty!
it then passed on the retest, and I am a very relieved bunny.

Great news on your IVA pass, well done ;D It must have been a very challenging day! but worth it, assuming it will stop raining your first drive will be a real treat. Drove mine to work today, got absolutely soaked on the way home in the garage now drying off.... Regards Jim

Some pics......If anyone wants some "E"marked crappy caravan lights for the back of their pride and joy then let me know! Marc

Hi Marc,
Yes your more than welcome to take a look at the supercharger arrangement. Were abouts are you located ?
Are you likely to be coming to Curborough - a very social event and nothing pressuring with regards to performance - would be good to meet up.
