I didn't, it is cut pretty acurately and in most cases the edge disapears in the gap between the floor and the frame.

I like the look of that and it will probably be much more hard wearing than the stick-on plastics that others have used.
Any thoughts on whether it might trap moisture though and the implications if that happened?

Yep the supports are hardwood with a slot in them, I bonded them with fibreglass paste (P40) which fills the gaps and makes them level. Once dry, with everything in place, I fiberglassed over the whole assembly (tape).

Has anyone come up with a cunning plan for a steering column cover, I just can't make the Focus one look right.
Getting ready for the IVA now, does anyone know how it woeks with RTR....do they get a guy in or is it done at the local testing station?

Thanks, it's a standard "U" bend cut in half, turned around and welded back together. the flanges are cut off the old Focus exhaust.

Hi Marc, What a great looking build, looks very high quality with a lot of attention to detail. I know what you mean about the steering wheel cover. I made a metal cover but the best way would be to duplicate Mabbs carbon fibre cover, expensive but would look great on your build. Good luck with the IVA Jim
