Did you also need to buy a new slave cylinder as part of the 1.8 clutch swap? Where did you get your clutch from?
Thanks!

A well deserved day off work today so managed to get a few bits done. Managed to get the Tunnel cut (roughly), will finish it off when I get a hold of a fine metal file and a half round one. . Intend on riveting some ally angle onto the floor to attach the tunnel, don't want alot of things sticking thru the bottom of the car. . Then I had to pop the seats in to see what they looked like. . Eventually the paint dried on the rear calipers so got round to putting them on. . Then fitted the rear wing stays, probably not a good Idea as I'm not sure on the size of wheels I'm getting yet. It's easy enough to fix if the wheels don't fit so stuck them on anyway. . Fitted the venhil Accelerator cable on the the pedal, quite an easy job, I imagine the other end may be a bit trickier. . And Last but not least, Took the 2.0 litre flywheel off and put the 1.8 one on. So much easier with the flywheel locking tool, bargain at £5. Did have a Blonde moment for a few minutes whilst trying to get the 1.8 wheel to fit, but the less mentioned about that the better for me . Need to check on the torque setting for these bolts before I put the Clutch kit on, so will refer to the Ford TIS unless anyone knows and can pass it on. Cheers Ned

Hi Mate,
Can I ask where you got the fuel tank cover from, I am just about to start building a mold for mine, but if there are other options........
Great build by the way.

The GRP fuel tank cover, you can buy from RTR. It's 95 quid plus VAT, well worth it.

Hi Ned,
Can you remember what size the 4 way connector was for the viper brake lines?
Cheers Mark

Well Eventually got the tunnel Finished, alot more to it than first thought. I'm happy with the method I used to secure it, the ally angle bar means it's easy to remove and gives it a good look I think. . . . . Just working on the rear bulkhead now, plan of fixing it with the ally bar aswell, once thats done I can get on to the fuel tank cover it needs some trim around the tunnel cut-out. Trying to build myself up to attach the bonnet and engine cover hinges. Ned

Hi Ned, Looking good, very neat and tidy. Impressed with the tunnel. That vinyl covering looks very effective Regards Jim

Thanks Jim.
I was suprised how good the vinyl looked myself.
I didn't know that RTR supplied carbon parts for the tunnel and all the panels. It definetly would have made things a bit easier and probably more expensive.

No probably more like definitely lol. Looking good though cant beat that vinyl carbon effect, it becomes obsessive and a bit addictive, almost had two dogs in carbon fibre....

Managed to get a bit more done today. Finished of cutting and bending the rear bulkhead. Put some more ally angle bar on the floor to secure it down then drilled holes along the middle chassis bar to secure it at the top. . . A rite PITA job, just need to finish it off with some vinyl and trim. After that, shouldn't be much more major body fabrication left. Moving on to securing the handbrake cable and brake lines around the engine bay so I can hopefully get the engine, gearbox and drive shafts in. Hoping to get everything body/mechanical done prior to xmas, then I can concentrate on the electrics. Also got my wheels coming in the next week or so, some nice wolfrace assassin 17inchers. Will post more pics in the coming weeks. Ned

Finally got the rear bulkhead finished, as much as I like the carbon look, it is a complete PITA trying to put it on evenly if the surface is not flat. . . . Also got the Engine cover fitted, just need to put the hinge on. . Eventually got my new radiator fan, thought the Ford one was a bit weak and also takes up a lot of room. This one is slim line so gives me a bit more room up front. . Just setting up now to fix the fuel tank to the floor, need to get some thick rubber washers just to give it a bit of spacing from the floor first. Need also to make sure that it's position doesn't obstruct the GRP cover. . . . I've been left to my own devices tomorrow so should be able to get quite a bit done. Still need to tidy up all the lines in the engine bay. . Got a call from RTR today. Vibra Tech mounts, S/S Manifold and Cat, OMEX ECU and Loom and RTR wiring and lighting kit all on the way hopefully turn up tomorrow or Monday. Next few weeks will be busy. Ned
