I fitted a 5 quid plate fully engraved from ebay, they do not need to be expensive. Just a specific size. I bought mine from a trophy engravers.

Alternatively, make your own. I think that the letter punches need to be 4.8mm high, and be clearly marked. They are around £30 on eBay, it's a bit like the ones the police used to use to stamp your postcode into your bike frame. This can get riveted on under the bonnet somewhere handy. No axle weights were required. Just enter manufacturer, then the chassis number. So it seems a sticker is all that's needed for this. No engraving or indentation needed. Just printed it out on a printer and stuck it on. Job done.

Hi, I am unable to find a definitive answer to this question, so hopefully someone here can help. How big do the holes in the back of the seats need to be? Do they need to be just big enough to let the harness through, or big enough so that the harnesses don't foul on the seat at all? I assume they can't come round the side of the seat?
Another question: does the loom have to go though the front bulkhead, or can it go over the top? It doesn't foul on the bonnet when it is over the top.
Thanks in advance

I have gone through the bulkhead like most others, but I can't see why you couldn't go over if that's how you want to do it. Going through is pretty easy with the right hole saw and you can reuse the mx5 rubber grommets

Check my build I went over the top of the bulk head, it made life a lot easier for me.

Thanks for all the answers so far - very helpful! I am opting for harnesses, but have bought Bolt-in instead of Wraparound (I want to wrap them around the harness bar). Can I just cut the webbing to remove the bolt-in adapter, or does it need the stitching unpicking? I assume if it is cut it isn't okay to have it all frayed, even if there is more than 100mm left over after wrapping (IVA req).
Also, where is the best place to buy the nut caps? Thanks in advance

you can melt the ends to stop them fraying but stitching is a deffo no no as they need to be E marked and not modified, perhaps the buckle will allow a wrap around if you cut the ends off.

There are a few hoses that I am unsure of where they need to go (pics below). None of the three hoses are attached at the other end. The one on the complete left of the second photo is attached to another regulator the the back of the intake manifold.
I have removed the black canister, so those hoses can go.
I would like to know which ones I can block any off, which ones I can loop together into the intake manifold, and which ones I can attach to the currently unused vacuum regulator.
Thanks in advance
I can add more photos if needed

Am I right in thinking the Hazard lights have to be operational from the driving position? What about Rear Fog lights? Anything else that I am missing? Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance My inspector checked I could reach all controls and switches with my harness on. Others havent been asked that but the rule book says you must be able to use them all whilst driving. Im currently working on my dash redesign which I factored in to my build

FWIW, there are many SFI harness manufacturers that make bolt in harnesses, that can also be utilized as wrap around. such as these G force units. they are SFI 16.1 and FMVSS 309, both of which are sewn onto the tags on the belt. critical here, not sure about the UK. www.jegs.com/i/G-FORCE/471/6000RD/10002/-1
