Morning All, hope you’re well.
I’ve been lurking on the MeV forum for years now wanting an Exocet - even more so after seeing the new G type. Looks amazing! but with 2 little boys I fear I just don’t have the time to build one and not being the most mechanically minded the thought of flaring, brake lines, fuel lines etc scares me...
Are there any ex demo/ show cars for sale? Does Mev sell them made?
I’ve seen one or two pop up on eBay from time to time but there is always the worry about someone else’s build quality, if any steps skipped etc... I’m sure it’s just me - so hopefully that doesn’t offend anyone, I guess I’d rather buy from the manufacturer - if possible
If I do go down the eBay used route - do the new G type panels fit on older cars? (Depending on quality etc)
Many thanks

Oh and the fact I only have a carport so no where. To really build one doesn’t help either...

If you are really wanting one then the best options is one from the forum that has a good build diary to back up the work, also you could ask a current owner to look with you? Im sure there will be someone near you that has one and would help you with whats best to look at. What area do you live?

The most obvious one was mabbs's Rocket; i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx291/mabbx/CIMG1016.jpgmevowners.proboards.com/thread/563/mabbs-buildThe 'real' manual was Mark Harnett's build when I started. sammy has made some of the most incredible parts; I've got his gorgeous handbrake; you're not getting parts like that from any manufacturer I reckon.

Fair point! That handbrake is just gorgeous, artwork even!
