Hi im Chris from Aylesbury and im going to build an Exocet !!!!! I might be the least qualified person on this forum as all i have ever done before is change a radiator. This is how my garage looked last week ( im a former pro fighter and now full time instructor ) and this is the kids testing my donor mx5 NB Couple of questions? In the build guide it does not mention cutting out the vin plates of the donor , is it needed? also no mention of cutting the suspension tops out advice please ? i.imgur.com/gpJ1n7W.png

Hi chris. i'm not sure if it's needed but I cut my vin plates out and took photos of the donor car and shell - better safe than sorry for 20 mins work.
Not sure what you mean about cutting the suspension out? There should be no cutting required for that part? Just unbolt the two nuts that are offset on the top hats, leave the one in the middle as it is compressing the spring.
I don't know if it's my phone but I cannot see the photos?
Cheers

The 'green' option is to keep it all in place for your build.... or remove all gubbins, blank off at manifold and leave tank to vent to air after the valve (assuming the NB set up of the tank valve is the same the NA).

Any advice on removing passenger air bag .Some forums just recommend levering the cover off I did tried this but it seems firmly stuck. Should I unbolt it from underneath first ? ( I did disconnect the wiring )
