I was thinking of turning them through 90degrees for the IVA, or have I missed a trick?

I was thinking the same tim.
Its all about them being seen from the obscure positions behind the car , the are laid down in the manual and need to be checked to be believed ! - in honesty its more about where you get it tested i.e examiner , but im pretty sure they wouldn't pass in Exeter , fail safe locs are up high or on the edge of the front mudguards.

Split the dust shields off the hubs, so ready for shot last, bearing removal & paint. Made a template for mounting the dash board pod Which will make a bracket that will look a little like this So finished article will hopefully look a little like this... When all screwed in place and squared up - Fingers crossed !

Hehe. Loving the cardboard template work. Best bit about building our car has been making up designs in card and then scrapping them and starting again and improving the design.
