The result of a long evening watching Deep Space 9 and and drinking a run and coke. (A very tall rum and coke that lasted 6 hours) Another pile of wire and connectors that are no longer necessary. And what's left is getting re-wrapped. Should be done with this tomorrow, then passenger seat, suspension, and body work.

Back at it today. Mostly tidying up the wiring harness, rerouting the secondary O2 sensor, sorting out common grounds, getting the ECU back into the wiring tray, and tape wrapping much of the harness. A little more to do in the engine bay but basically the wiring is done. Test fitting the nose, may need to trim the bottom a little to clear the radiator mounts. Steadily getting there.

Working on getting the parking brake installed. Having a hell of a time trying to figure out the best way to run the cables in the back of the car, not finding any good descriptions or photos of how others have done it.

Stooped off at Tap Plastic to have v.1 of my center gauge stack cut.

Parking brake installed and adjusted. Routing the brake cables was a pain in the ass, I'm sure that I'll re-do them later but for now they're tucked up out of the way.
One step closer.

Sean your handbrake set up looks just like mine except I mounted the mechanism a little lower. I am not happy with the contact with the harness but put a cover over the sharp bits so no damage occurs. I also put the OEM cover over the mechanism on the handle. Pics should be in my build thread.

I actually referenced your build when I was working out how to run the parking brake cables. Unfortunately I don't have the OEM plastic cover for mine, it was missing from my donor. I'm actually really pleased with the location of the handle, it's up and proud of the tunnel just a bit but doesn't get in the way of shifting at all. I'm not too worried about the harness and the brake, I've already got plans to put in some protection to keep it from scratching up the powder coating and rubbing on the harness.

Spent a good portion of the day doing more with the loom, getting as much of it as possible into the wiring tray as I could. It's kinda snug in there now but at least I don't have half the loom barfed out on the passenger's side now. I replaced the the bungee cord on my exhaust with a hanger from O'Reily and a 1.75" stainless p-clamp. Should half things well enough until I have a custom exhaust fabricated. Painted the driver's seat rails black, installed longer bolts with spacers on the front seat to get a bit more lean-back/headroom. A couple of large OD washers and rod couplers put my seat in the perfect position. And, of course, the driver's harness before taking it on a second spin around the block. I need to order the really flexible filler hose that Steadfast pointed out in his build thread so I can start to button up the back with actual bodywork.

You may want to put some safety wire or a hose clamp around that muffler hanger just in case muffler feels like jumping off..

Think you'll be done by Oct 28th? We are planning a track day at Laguna Seca... Done? Yes. Registered? Maybe. I'm about to spend two weeks out of the country on vacation. Send me track-day details, tho! Even if I don't have my Exo ready my 135i is and I've never driven Laguna Seca at speed.

Spent a little time last night working up what I think I need to trim on my Exo's nose to clear the radiator. I'm a bit apprehensive about murdering the bodywork. Also, I can't stop looking at it with the nose sitting on it! Super happy with it so far.

Try trimming 1/2 of what you have marked then refit for more trimming.. you can always take more off..
