Hello All,
I ordered my kit (sport) at the start of Sept. Im hoping for a delivery time of early Feb 2016 with a goal of being done by the start of summer.
My donor is a 2003 NB with VVT. I am going to be doing a custom turbo setup for around 250whp using a GT2560 turbo managed by a MS Pro.
I have never really documented a build but since I am building the first(as far as I know) street legal Exocet in WA State I figured I would document my struggles.
As far as I can tell Washington doesn't seem to be very strict when it comes to kit cars.
My progress so far has been removing the body from the ppf and selling the extra donor parts.
That's it for now!

Hi there, glad to hear about your build! I'm up in Seattle, currently working on prepping my donor as well (I don't know what number frame I will have). Let me know if you want an extra pair of hands!

Welcome to the forum. I'm not too far away in Portland. There are currently 4 exocets in different stages of the build around here. Turbo sounds like fun. Mine is a race chassis with the same turbo running megasquirt.

a little progress from the last couple weeks. I deleted the A/C, EGR, and de-powered my steering. I also picked up a T25 Sr20det Turbo for $60 from my buddy who just got his SR from Japan. Turbo is in great shape with no shaft play.

Got the turbo installed today. My line kit came with the wrong oil drain tube so that will have to wait.

Please, please, please take many pictures and document everything. Many people are going to be following this! I talked to the guys at superfast miatas, and while this is a new venture for them, they have years of experience cramming honda motors into old school minis. I am really looking forward to what you have to share!

There is at least one build going on there (mostly done I believe) putting a Honda V6 in a Miata. Probably some good info there for you.

I am Farley certain I have found most of the jv6 Miata builds on Internet. I also have been reading j32 s2000 swaps to get ideas. I will back track and show what I have done with the engine so far.

Ok...let me start from the beginning. I did some searching around and discovered B&R auto wrecking has ridiculously cheap engines. They don't mark up stuff just because it's cool. I picked the J32a2 because it puts down 260hp. Some people opt for the j35 or 37 because they put down more torque. My engine did have 2 broken coils for some reason but they are only $10 a piece on eBay. The rest of the engine was in great shape and it came with the engine harness. Cost: $250
