Take chassis back off 2. Pclip brake and fuel lines to bottom of chassis 3. Measure, cut and fit side panels. 4. Refit Chassis 5. Remove wheel hubs and fit the stays Wish me luck

Re. your weekend Plan pt 3: I'm planning to leave the side panels 'til pretty much last so as to keep access. Not sure how far on you are with each item but seats, belts, battery, instrument cluster are all that bit easier without side panels in the way?

+1 on Miket. Haven't even unwrapped mine yet. Guess you have the new chassis and its all pretty tight so leave as much access as possible. You don't need to remove the rear hubs to fit the stays - do you have ABS as will need to make a new bracket to fit the rear stays if so?

Good advice about the side panels, will leave them off the list for now, wont be removing the rear hubs just the front and no ABS I changed my mind at the last minute about the fuel line and brought 8mm Kunifer (copper/nickel) as its supposed to be harder wearing than standard copper. Turns out most "8mm" pipe is actually 5/16inch which is 7.94mm but i special ordered actual 8mm just to be on the safe side (probably a waste of money, but worth the piece of mind)

Cunifer is the right stuff for a car and copper/nickel alloys are used by several OEMs. Copper work hardens and breaks so I wouldn't use it for anything that makes a difference like brakes or fuel.

Advice for anyone not yet brought a donor, spend extra money to get a newer/not so rusted one! Simple task of taking 3 bolts out to fit the front stays ended up with all 3 bolts snapping off in the hub! Tried removing them but made things worse, so ive just ordered another hub assembly (not new but hopefully not as rusted) I finally got the fuel and brake lines on, again a simple task that took hours - trying to find the right size tappers and drill bits No where near enough self tappers and P clips with the kit, not sure why it doesn't come with a pack rather than a few counted out in bags. Same with the supplied brake line, rather than just giving a whole line (25ft) you get half, which means your short running a length across the rear sub frame and to the wheels and for the cost of the 25ft 5/16" copper its really not worth the hassle cutting it in to 2 lengths! Oh well, making progress, very slowly

Thanks mate, I'm loving the white chassis, no doubt I'll be getting the bonnet out at some point to see how it looks, I'll posts some pics when I do.

Feeling annoyed and disheartened
Has anyone else had the luck im having?
The new secondhand knuckle came today and I went to fit it to realise it didnt come with the lower ball joint (obvious really) I tried to remove the ball joint from the current knuckle and guess what, the bolt snapped! So ive now had to order a new lower ball joint.
Why cant anything go to plan lol, I WILL get these bloody wing stays on!

Yeah, know that feeling! But looks like you're not going to give in easily!
If want to spend time rather than money there's always drilling and easyouts?
