Haven't added the complete hard pipe replacement on the website, and also if you shout direct rather than ordering through the site I can usually do a slightly better price

I got a complete brake hard line replacement kit from the freak along with the clutch line. I'm just about to order my wheel spacers from him too. He's a good guy and price and delivery are good too.

Great to know, ill contact you when im at that stage mate! I got the body off today! MUCH harder than I first thought it would be, mainly due to 3 of the bolts under the rear arches snapping on me and having to grind them off without touching the frame! Every thing that needs to be seems to be in one piece! And don't get me started on the rust But i am slightly confused as to how I can remove the steering rack arm seen on the last picture, it seems to be stuck and i cant pull it into the car nor can I pull it out (into the engine compartment) any ideas?

Shane, Congrats on achieving separation!
Your pic of the steering shaft appears to be from the engine compartment. Can you post a picture of the from the opposite side? -Christian

Thanks Christian,
Unfortunately I cant get to it at the moment as its the body is currently on its side leaning against a wall
Its basically just the knuchle part thats sitting just in the opening, I cant see that it is attached by any bolts just a biig rubber boot, id tried pulling, pushing, banging and it doesn't budge so im obviously missing something.

Okay. I was trying to figure out the angle of your pic; starts to make a little more sense now.
Is the boot covering a universal joint that attached to the steering rack or is it on the driver compartment side? I separated my rack from the steering rack universal joint and by pulling the boot down (carefully not to rip it) and separated the shaft from the universal joint using a large throwaway flat screwdriver, a hammer, and a strap to keep it from moving. It's going to be harder for you now to take that approach with it separated. I think the upper part of the rack is much the same.
It might be easier for you to just use a sawzaw and make the hole a lot bigger although I'm surprised you can't just push it through. Have you completely removed the pedal assembly and the plastic sleeve around the steering column on the inside of the firewall?

The rubber boot is held in by part of the pedal assembly from what I recall, and then a plastic piece that is screwed to the firewall. Make sure that has been removed and then the rubber piece should just slide into the passenger compartment.

Yeah, Thanks Steve (p5curly) it was great to meet you, your brother and the mevster!
Made my day getting that arm out! For info it was literally held in place by a rubber boot (very tightly)
Will definitely meet up again soon

Making good progress with the refurb!
As its my first build and limited budget im trying to save on time as well as cost, so I have decided to go down the hammerite route rather than shot blasting and powder coating.
I personally think its starting to look good, next step is to remove valve cover, spray and replace gasket etc.
Then onto fitting the new disks, refurbished suspension and refurbished calipers and new control arms (as I had to cut the old ones off)
This should be done within the next week or so.

Looking good so far..If you are not going to run PS remove the pump bracket you will need to hit the spacer back to get to the rear bolt.. Make sure you did not paint the face of the crank sensor were the tit is and the ends of the plates 4 tits.. Mark TDC on pulley while you can see it nail polish works. If you need to move the skate around put 4 8" 2x4 between the upper control mounts and lower shock mounts add wheels..

Thanks Gwnwar, I don't think I painted the face of the crank sensor (side facing pully) but I will need to double check this! I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get the that one bolt out, but I think ill be trying again now, as it has been bugging me.
