RE your body panels, glad they are fitted, it's just one of those things that once you have done it and know how, it's easy. Yes, that's very true Guy. Afraid my memory wasn't up the the task of recalling just how I'd done it........! Martin

Need to take pictures! Floor is on and 3/4 bolted down, that's the job for this pm but the weekends been taken up with a family wedding. Then it's a quick job to trial fit the front floor, and mark for drilling and rivnuts. Hope to flip the chassis right way up once and for all this week ? What size bolts did you use for the floor?

I used m4 spaced at about 150mm. When I first marked it up I did 150mm but that left it uneven so I decided where I wanted key ones (corners, joints etc) and then spaced the others evenly between them at no more than 150mm centres.

Ordered M4 rivets and hex bolts, but is there anything to stop you using dome headed M4 screw/bolts?

For everything underneath I've used button head, just used hex on the p clips as they'll be hidden away.

Didn't occur earlier, but I ordered some dome heads anyway. Aesthetically more pleasing!

So 3 weeks have gone by with bits and pieces happening in the garage and elsewhere.
The test fire today was a dismal failure. Not hearing the fuel pump made me question fuel and surely enough the pump isn't working. It was when it came out, so I extracted it and tested it again on the bench and all worked fine. Double checking all the electrics to the pump and I'm confident the issue is a 6V drop across the relay!
The relay itself passed a bench test no problem, so there must be a corroded connection in the relay holder itself.
It's tomorrow's job to sort that, as it will make a difference to where @maz delivers the side panel on Thursday!

She's alive!
Bit lumpy and needed the throttle but she's been stood for 2.5 years so can't really complain.
Time to tidy up the wiring then the body can go on!

Nice diary. Any chance of fixing the broken photobox pictures to your thread, as feel like missing half the story? how did you go about this "rewired the OEM battery fusebox to my (current & future) needs" cutting and soldering, or moving the existing pins about?
