I am consoled least Know That the original brake from which the copied weighs about 850gr. For the rest it treats solo Uno waste of time and money. in the meantime I took a bit of familiarity with the TIG welding of aluminum. I started with a chatch tank. Will follow the petrol tank of about 40 liters. And I dared to build my propia pedals to measure. But still I am not satisfied with some profiles. Currently too little time for these things ..       |

If i understand correctly you have removed the stainless steel ratchet plate and cut the teeth directly into the aluminium BUT used aircraft aluminium instead of normal.
Also you have used a plastic handle instead of an aluminium one.
Result is a saving of around 500g.
Is the carbon one not lighter still?

not exactly.
Photo 1: POM pieces
Photo 2: aircraft aluminum pieces
Photo 3: Grade 5 titanium parts
if I would have used aluminum for toothed pieces were worn in no time.

With carbon, I found that the weight does not differ much.
I used two millimeters thick aircraft aluminum.
