Sorry to hear the problem Sammy. There are 3 possible solutions: 1. When complete, return the car to the UK for IVA testing, registering then exporting as a second hand car. 2. Use an older donor car such as a Sierra with the older Zetec engine, these were produced from 1982-1993. 3. Buy a pre 1993 MX5 and build "attempt to build the lightest ever"- Exocet. Problem solved.

Sorry to hear the problem Sammy. There are 3 possible solutions: 1. When complete, return the car to the UK for IVA testing, registering then exporting as a second hand car. This is what we (Ireland) now have to do; there's no way (currently) to register a kit car, because while there's a standard, there's no test! MIRA didn't even reply to my email when I asked could I put my Rocket through an emissions test. So, unofficially, I'm going to have to register the car in someone else's name, and buy it off them 6 months later. Srsly. It seems to be the only way. Not sure how Ze Tchermans would react to this method, maybe not great, but they're still in in the EU and have to respect other EU members' registrations. Lots of recently arrived EU citizens *drive* from the Baltic and Balkan states to Ireland in their cars, some of them pretty 'vintage' and until its time for their NCT, they're allowed to drive them around. Insurance on cars older than 15 years has been made much more difficult lately, but there are still ways and means.

Yes Mr Stuart , The first solution is the one that I wanted . But it does not work here anymore . The law here says : " What if a car has been registered in any European country , you can register in Germany" Only the state does not follow the law . I had 4 people here in Germany that dealt with the registration for the car kit. Everyone says that about a month and it is no longer possible. And the more that the state would make the laws more stringent , to make the registration of these cars even more difficult . I need at least six months for my rocket is finished . During this time it may find that you say around , or maybe not . But the risk is too high

Jack : I have already informed several months ago to make the electric rocket . It is possible, but the installation / work must do a licensed contractor. All this , because if you do it yourself , there may be a risk of fire in the car or malfunctions with the risk of personal injury . Approximately you asked me ca.10000 € only for the work. I'm thinking that if I come to live in England is the cheapest I my project.

Im sure I speak for many people on this forum.

Thank the many compliments ridgeback. I like to build everything, but especially cars.
I remember that when I was 16 jears old I called to England to get information on Minari , since my father had an Alfa 33.Already then I wanted to build a car.
Also if the law here about the car really sucks now continue my construction , but not Mev.Thanks to the laws of this country my enter price with Rocket ends here.
As I said , hoping that it was already understood , I bought another kit car, already registered in Germany . So most of the pieces that I have built will be used for this cars.
Naturally even in this car the main target will be the weight

So most of the pieces that I have built will be used for this cars. And I'm sure you'll find it a keen seller's market for any bits you can't take with you. Bagsie your adjustable wishbones if you're selling them :-)

Today my friend brought me the carbon fenders .
Although it does not matter I wanted to weigh the same .
Still they have to be cut with the right shape .
The original supports for the fenders weigh 1.3kg Unit .
Titanium weighs 0.8kg
So with carbon mudguards more titanium supports can save about 5kg in weight.
And just an idea anyway......

the construction goes on .... Today I finished the hubs for the front. They are made in a manner to be mounted ventilated discs with PCD 108. as with original RD ones I was a little limited on which disks to use Before you send them off to anodize, I want to see even take anything in weight. but in the complex they have come good.

Meanwhile the construction of my car is going well. I think in six months I will have completed everything. I finally decided to also build the chassis. since I wanted to change the driver's side was less work for me if I built a new chassis. even in these cases I have used titanium and alloy aircraft for the construction of the parts depicted
