Ok, small update. I have fitted the seats with 10.9 rated bolts, gear linkage, covered the internal panels in carbon fibre wrap, wilwood front calipers, ordered rear calipers and still plugging on with the electrics. I will update with some pics tonight. Still not sure I have the right track rod ends, they are rs2000 ends but the thread just doesnt seem long enough!

I have tried my calipers and they don't seem to fit, more like the carriers are the wrong ones. I have the standard focus calipers and carriers. The discs measure 280mm, I now know these to be st170 discs! (bought the car part built). What is the best way forward??

I may well do that, but if I remember correctly, when I tried to strip the rear assembly down, a few months back, they were attached with more force than known to man!! I will attempt removal some time next week and let you know James.

Ok rear st carriers sourced from e of the bay, £20, bargain. Electrics wired from scratch, just the clock to add for the immobiliser led then I shall be hooking up the battery to test all systems . I would do it today but waiting on delivery of rear lights and side indicators.

All lighting systems are go. I have used the original focus switches. Will I need to cover up the headlight adjustment bit for IVA? On to getting the engine fired up I am installing the rad hoses (from ASH). Order placed and awaiting delivery. Next will be the aux belt. Anyone have an aux bracket they wanna sell me? Pretty please.

I've been quiet for abit, just plodding on in my spare time. Went for the engine start today, FAIL. First a petrol leak from the rail, nothing major just needed to tighten the connection, at least I know fuel is reaching the injectors She turns over but no go. Checked for a spark at the plugs, one spark then nothing on no1. Head scratching time. Checked engine ground, seems ok, Ordering a diagnostic reader so I can see what the ECU is up to. Pats seem ok, key in and turn, lights up the immob LCD and then it goes out as it should. I will update the diary with some pics of the build soon, busy busy n all that.

As promised a couple of updated pics.
Floor and side panels covered in Cabon Fibre wrap, easily renewable as it wears.

As you can see in this pic, I have fitted the seats (using 8.8 bolts and crush tubes). Also the front wings are in the incorrect position and will need to be moved to accomadate full lock. The radiator fan is a pull type so will need to switch that over and the lights will be raised slightly on some extensions for IVA. I do need to fit front fogs, due to using the focus light switch, but these will be attached under the main headlights once I raise them up.

Aux belt tensioner fitted as per Guy's and Martin's builds, allows the tensioner to work as it should. Used a 1353 belt, fits snuggly.
Also made an idler bracket out of 7mm angle iron and a 4 1/2" grinder It ain't going nowhere.
