If you want it on the road you could do as Rick in Vegas did and use Metal trailer fenders.. They come in different sizes.. I don't have the fender mounts yet.

Took 3 different revisions and $60 in used clock springs but I finally got it working. I figured out a way to use a 'recycled' hair clip thingy from my daughter's (endless) collection as the contactor to the back side if the NRG short hub. Found the idea on one of the Honda based web sites if I remember correctly. Seems to work like a champ, and cost was $0.00.

So my front LED turns are 2 wire and the miata uses a 3 wire setup. I'm thinking about wiring a resistor in with the parking light power wire so they shine dimmer with the parking lights on and full brightness when flashing. The question is, what diodes and resistor should I use?

Been so sick the last week that I haven't even been able to get out of bed. Today, the perfect weather begged me to come out into the world and deal with it. Decided to bring the lap top to the garage and get the calibration settings done at the very least and get a baseline tune. FM calibrates the wideband for you so I decided not to mess with it. You do still have to calibrate the TPS, set the base timing and setup the knock threshold. Incredibly simple to do. The base fuel map didn't need hardly any tweaking to match the idle trim. FM also suggest setting the tach up to use one of the hydras extra PWM outputs which honestly I haven't seemed to need to do yet. Went for a few laps around the block. Alignment is fine, no noises, brakes, clutch and trans are better than when I first drove the donor but that damn Begi thermostat spacer is leaking out one of the plugs. It's the 3rd leak I've had with that. First one was from the bolts being too long, second was from the small plug, now it's from the larger plug. Thing is garbage. I may swap it out for the newer one that guy is selling on miataturbo. At wastegate pressure, 21 deg peak timing and mid-11s AFRs first gear is a tire burner and second is an even scarier tire burner. It came recommended to heat cycle these things before turning up the power. It's odd how this thing is the weakest HP car I've ever built yet its also the scariest. Forgot to take a selfie after the shake down run... If this thing doesn't kill me, this damn flu will!

Got the guys email? I'm gonna buy one and trash the Begi one. I think he's sold out of the latest batch. He claims it's his last, but it's a popular piece. Let me check with him and see if he's got any left. EDIT - Just spoke with him, he is indeed all out. However, he said that if we can get 20 interested parties he'd be willing to do another batch. Anyone else want one? Great reviews thus far, I haven't picked up mine from him yet but I hear only good things.

I need the fenders at the minimum. That's a bummer. I am guessing mid-May for my bodywork. Taylor told me 4-6 weeks at the beginning of April. Yours probably wont show up until the end of May at the earliest. Talked to Kevin last week and was told my body panels were 6 weeks out. My chassis number is #100. Luckily I got a jump on some early body panels locally and cancelled my order with Exomotive (advancing all you guys by 1 set).

Great reviews thus far, I haven't picked up mine from him yet but I hear only good things. Shoot... I need a more immediate solution. Mind is leaking like crazy out from one of the plugs when the engine is warm. Also discovered the stock oil pressure sender is also leaking. Arg... Wasn't a fun day working on the car last night. Took a lot of finagling but I finally got the exhaust to fit without touching anything. You can't hardly fit a few hairs between the flanges and the frame but they clear. Luckily I have solid motor mounts. Little back track, my exhaust came with a cat for some reason. Turns out it was ordered that way. Maybe my fault, maybe just a misunderstanding with Kevin, doesn't really matter, I can sell it and recoup some $$. So I ordered an NA test pipe to replace it. Well, it turns out not all test pipes are the same. Some are resonated, some aren't.... The resonated one hit the frame no matter what I did. Which was too bad because it sounded good. Here's the clearances of the flanges. Honestly, a slip fit pipe all the way to the downpipe would be best in this application. I might get one made up. Enthusacar puts these alignment marks on the pipes for you. Gets rid of the guess work. I fought with the exhaust and the fluid leaks most of the night so didn't get much time to so anything else. Other than this guy. Maybe I will try some JB weld on the oil sender before replacing it. If I have to go to the effort to remove it, I might as well upgrade it and I can't afford to do that now.

Will JB Weld supply a good ground flow for the sender.. Like the mirror where did you get it from. Part number?? Have you got an answer from Kevin if you can get a set of fender brackets so you can use metal trailer fenders to get car on the road ..They come in different sizes on eBay.. Check out Mazdaracer build page 9 for pic of fenders.

It's wasn't leaking from the threads of the sender. The silicon insulater had deteriorated enough where it was leaking. Talking about the rubber part that holds the spade connector. I took it out last night and brought it to work to try some of our industry sealant. just installed it and it seems to be holding.
As for that d**n begi plug, that was JBwelded and also seems to be holding.
I got the mirror from eBay. Do a search for 17" convex mirror + 1,75" bar mounts for UTV and Jeep. It was $60 shipped.
I did actually hear back from Kevin and he has been pushing to get me the entire kit before we meet up in Carsile. That's all in Downings hands though.

I was bored and missed the car. So I paid it a visit, took it out for a drive around the block and partially installed the windshield. Going to hold off on the bottom clamps till the body work gets here. The film is still on the lexan so that's why it looks smoked. Left it on for the pictures so you could see it better. It's also 3/16" thick. It's 44" x 10.75" at the high points and 9.5" at the low points. 9" minimum is required for PA.
