Good thing that I have the old tunnel design!

Don't get an NB downpipe unless you want to play clock the flange again. Even with the NA exhaust it still JUST BARELY doesn't hit. Like you can't fit a few expletive deleted hairs between the flange and the frame. Even with it adjusted all the way to the passenger side. I've got solid mounts so it shouldn't move but even still, I'm thinking of cutting off the flange and making it a slip fit.

I don't understand, why not get the NB downpipe? Take a look at my thread (page 8 I think) and you will see the trouble I ran into with the OBX header and Enthuzacar exhaust.

OBX header will be here today, I am cutting the flange of that and my cheap spec miata exhaust and using a band clamp to connect the 2.

Here is what I did for the fuel fill vent, I'll test it once I get my muffler back. Did this tank venting solution work with you nice clean filler cap? I ordered the same one and was hoping your venting solution worked. Sorry to bring up such an old topic.

No worries. Unfortunately no, it still takes forever to fill the tank up, I'm not sure if its a vent problem or a problem with the fill hose itself. I got aggravated with it last year and left it alone, might get bored sometime and mess with it again.
I am open to suggestions on how to fix it!

I think the big issue is the vent hose, and making sure it isn't kinked. The gas coming in has to force the air out.

I was driving around without bodywork for several months, with the stock, long neck filler. I was able to fill it at a normal rate. After bodywork & shortening the filler (with the same vent), I have to fill quite slowly. Watching the aerated fuel coming out of the nozzle, the fuel *foam* fills the neck rapidly. Not sure if that can be fixed?

Gotcha. Before you confirmed this I had a feeling it was the filler hose.

Same problem, even with a vent the fuel backs up at the elbow I have plumbed at the tank. It seems that to fuel quickly it is gonna be necessary to have a longer neck.

This is my filler right now. Too short to fill fast.

Me too. I also have a marine vent.

Same, using a marine filler with vent. I suspect it is my passenger side filler to driver side tank near vertical run that is causing the issue.
