Here is what I did for the fuel fill vent, I'll test it once I get my muffler back.

I thought you already had you muffler coated?

It was high temp powder coated and it started to flake off on the inlet side of the muffler. It's now getting ceramic coated at no cost to me. Hopefully I'll have it back Saturday.

What did you use on the vent? Id that a small charcoal canister? If so can you pass along where you got it? I'm getting my tank together and looking for a replacement for the giant canister from the donor. Thanks and great build!

The small canister is off the stock Miata, it was on my 99 in about the same place it is now.

What did you do for headlight mounts? My first attempt at parts sourcing for these via Amazon was underwhelming in quality to say the least! Looking for ideas ...

Those looks a lot more 'stout' that what I got off of Amazon, which in reality don't look a lot like what they show on the website!

How did the new coating turn out?

Turned out very good, it has a slight bit of gloss to it this time, almost like a matte finish. It should hold up much better this time.

Do you have any pics? Also can you share the brand/type of finish, and how much you paid?

A bit off subject, but has anyone tried polishing the muffler / end pipe area of a Enthuzar exhaust yet? I recall the good old days of doing that with motorcycle Supertrapp s/s systems - looked pretty nice, and you could touch up scratches with a Scotchbrite pad.

I'll get some pics this weekend, I'm not sure the brand of the ceramic he used. I paid for the high temp powder and he upgraded me for free since it flaked off.
