As per the UK Mev build manual the rad cap top should be no higher them 10mm/3/8" up from the front top rail corner. Put a spacer on each front corner and run a string..Kevin's body may allow for more clearance.. Give him a call or PM him or Warren..

I didn't know how high to mount it, I looked at pics of FM's and Exomotives and tried to make it the same. Yeah I wish the body work production was up to speed with the chassis. It would be 10x easier to mouth the body work (or at least just the mounts) before dropping the chassis onto the roller skate. Then you can see where to mount everything else.

I decided to change the way I had my stainless fuel line run, originally I had it on the first damper but after seeing how others here removed it and connected directly to the fuel rail I decided to do the same. What a pain! It took over 2 hours but i think it turned out much better.

Wow. I managed to do it without having to pull the intak/fuel rail, but it was not easy... There was a lot of swearing and a bit of lost skin. It does get rid of a bunch of "unneeded" parts though. Hopefully the interwebs are correct in that the first damper is not essential.

Dumb question about the fuel line: does the long line coming from the engine just connect into that T visible at the top, next to the fuel filter? And then goes from there to the fuel rail? Or is there more complexity to it? I decided to change the way I had my stainless fuel line run, originally I had it on the first damper but after seeing how others here removed it and connected directly to the fuel rail I decided to do the same. What a pain! It took over 2 hours but i think it turned out much better. What's the benefit of doing this? And any concern for your injectors receiving less regular fuel flow?

^you are correct, long line goes from T at tank to fuel rail. I guess the only benefit is to reduce the number of fuel components and the one piece of fuel line.
I hope everyone online is correct, I'll keep it just in case.
i tried to avoid removing the whole intake manifold, you can see where I took off the throttle body first but couldn't get to the line. I even trimmed down my fuel line tool but it was too tight.

Has anyone come across pics of the s/s fuel line setup on a 'return type' NA that you can point me to? Or, is the s/s fuel line kit applicable only to the later 'returnless' injection system cars ??
I'm getting close to the point of needing to make this run on my rollerskate but all I have seen to date are returnless setups. Seems like most builds are based on NB's.
Thanks in advance!

Keith priced me a fuel kit at 300 for a 95 donor with return kit. I am still undecided, seems like a lot of money to spend when I can just run new lines and buy a replacement fuel filter.

I'm starting to think the same ... Despite other 'abuse related' issues, my donor was fortunate enough not to spend any of its life in the Ohio salt. So, my fuel and brake hard lines are all in very good condition. I may look into re-use of what I already have, including keeping my pressure regulator on the fuel rail (as it appears as though the FM kit moves this elsewhere from what I see).
Thanks, folks!

I've got an idea for the 2000 donor tanks picked up a mini charcoal canister from a Honda bike.
Bah I shouldn't talk about it and go take pics of the setup I'm planing.

Interesting... The vent? pipe on the tank from my 2000 is slightly different. Find the check valve the closes when the car flips and vent it right after that spot.

Will this cause any CEL's? There are electrical plugs on these hoses that you have deleted and I want to make sure. The fuel tank is the last area that I am unsure how to clean up properly and want to get rid of all the hoses if possible. I appreciate the help!
