I thought I had purchased a decent Riv Nut tool, wenet for a £60 one from Sealy rather than the cheap option I had seen advertised.
Must be user error.

I like the look of the swaged panels but I think I mentioned this on Jack's buils as he has done the same.
These holes are quite big and although they may help with cooling down the radiator a bit they are also a magnet for stones and anything else that like to fly up off the road and this usually ends up with them stuck in the Radiator.
I have a lot of chips in the vinyl wrap on my side panels made by road debris, luckily wrap can be replaced very cheaply but a radiator is a bit more expensive.
Perhaps putting some fine mesh at the back of the panel could stop any damage.

I like the swaging too nice to see it on another build we only put the holes in the side panel behind the radiator not in front as we wanted the pressure to build up in the box in front of the radiator thus encouraging airflow through also protecting the rad from stones etc as Ned mentioned Making good progress though looking good

I will probably take the advice given though and find some fine mesh to place on the inside of anything in front of the Rad Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

A bit of advice if anyone is reading this thread. I was planning to use these rubber bushes to mount the fuel tank in order to try to limit any vibration that is likely to come through the floor (to protect the weld a little). Can any advise if this is something I should or should not be doing? Don't want to fall foul at IVA time.

Have you downloaded a copy of the iva manual? It's a useful read. There's nothing in there that says this would be a bad idea, but I wold be concerned about how far the bolt may protrude under the car. Another build on here has already lost seat bolts on a speed bump...,

There was a very well authored comment regarding the possible;-) stress on fuel tank welds. It was that magical it disappeared !!. Which is a great shame as many rocket owners are now driving about, oblivious to the fact they may have a ticking time bomb!!! A reputable company would maybe have a recall to address the potential lethal issue. The delete button is king!!!!!!
I so wish there was an alternative forum that had no delete button, so we could all live a safe life.
Anton- sorry for hijacking your thread, I'm sure it will be deleted for been too truthful!!

Sent from my SM-N9005 using proboards No worries, it was based on our chat about the challenges some had experienced that prompted me to look at these as an option. Just not sure if they are too big and will raise the tank more than needed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The IVA says the fuel tank must be in a sealed compartment and have a drain hole. The position of the drain hole must not allow escaping fuel to drip onto the exhaust. I raised my tank 10 mm with washers and dried a 2" hole in the floor pan then covered with mess. Passed IVA no problem.
I am going to remount my tank on some ally box section for regigity then use simular rubber mounts as you
I will also be removing the filler neck and filling directly into the top of the tank, they do that in the mevabusa
