Looking good, i think I'm a smidge behind you. I'm agonisingly close to getting the loom out! Have to agree, I'm really enjoying it too, definitely didn't think I'd enjoy it this much. But i know there will be times when it'll try my patience. And this brilliant weather will see lots of progress! Will be following your progress closely!

Bit of a milestone. hoping to get it ready for the big lift over the weekend.

Did you loosen the rear axle nuts yet?? then emergency brake cables off rear calipers and rubber exhaust hanger donuts.. Did you also remove the loom from the PPF front to rear. If not you can leave it on till body is off..Just push harness down through the floor by were spare tire goes..

Good work mate, keep it up I decided at the beginning to not set timescales and just enjoy the experience. Today we made sure the final bits are all separated at the front end and removed the six main bolts/nuts. Tomorrow tackle the back end and hopefully be ready for the big lift!!! Jam sure we will bit a "wall" at some point it will just walk away for a few days !!

Agree with you on timescales - I didn't want to risk compromising quality by rushing at it.
You mention 'six main bolts/nuts' - on mine it was 8 at the front and 6 at the back - just to help make sure you capture them all before the lift. Others helped me by reminding about all earth connections & exhaust hangers. Enjoy the lift and take care.

All bolts and nuts cracked. Only gravity keeping it together. Now just get to get hold of a mates engine lifter and wayhayyyyy!

Two nuts each side top near the coil overs and a single bolt each side under the car into the foot wells. Am I missing something! Just had a another look and can see no more!!!

Now you've got me worried that I've misled you. I recall 8. At each side: 2 at top of coilover, 1 smaller one right down the end of the subframe 'arm' that heads off down towards the back of the car, and 1 set further forward than the small one at the end. That's on my Mk1. Perhaps I was undoing something else entirely! Anyway, I guess you'll find out if the front suspension starts moving as you start the lift - proceed with caution.
