Last but not least, I need to install the seats and harnesses. This was a rather simple task, but time consuming. I bolted them straight to the floor. I followed the following plans that Exomotive recommended: I used 1/4 inch steel for the brackets, and drilling holes created a huge mess: Do you have the measurements of the distance between the two crossbars on the floor? I am thinking of ordering one of these brackets www.soloracer.com/universal.html and want to know if they will fit without having to install the steal brackets the way you have.

Would you mind posting (or messaging me) exactly what paperwork you brought to the DMV? I'm just starting my build today (donor and kit already here!) and I'm in northern CA. Thanks, Geoff Geoff, First off great name! Second off, I too am in northern CA, the bay area to be exact. Where are you located? I have done a lot of research on the sb100 process. I'd be more than willing to help provide any info. PM me your email and I'll send some info. Thanks, Geoff Hello Geoff, I am very interested in the process too.

I also decided to use a braided gas line that I ordered from FlyinMiata. I wanted to do this for extra added protection. It also came with a cool cleanable fuel filter.
What parts did you order from FlyinMiata for the fuel lines? I don't see them selling fuel lines separatelly. I only see Big Fuel kit (http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?deptid=4529&parentid=0&stocknumber=04-46100%20%209093NBHEAD), which seems a little pricey for my budget.

Just give them a call. Keith at FM will hook you up. It was super simple to hook up, and works great. You can also clean the fuel filter too!

Thanks for the measurements. Did you have to run another hose for the charcoal canister? You said you kept it for registration.

Today was a monumental moment, my one brake fitting was mounted. Brakes and clutch were bled, and I was on my way. Next time I'll have my wife turn the iPhone on its side... Here are a few more pics for good measure: Things that I've noticed that need to be fixed: Upper radiator hose is leaking a little bit (will order new one) Reblead the brakes as they are a little soft. . . The clutch needs to be adjusted a little Other than that, the few laps around the neighborhood were a success. After you re-bled the brakes did it get better? I like the convenience of the braided lines, but I'm concerned over having a soft line running over a long span causing issues with soft breaks.

They feel just as firm as factory.

Thanks for the measurements. Did you have to run another hose for the charcoal canister? You said you kept it for registration. I didn't keep the small canister in the engine bay. I did keep the large gas tank one. I plan to remove all of that once I finalize my registration. In CA I don't think that it matters, but it would throw a CEL. . .

I'm so close to getting my updated body work from Exomotive. Hopefully within a few weeks. To pass my SB100 I need a windshield. So I started my windshield today. With the exception of getting the glass cut, it is done. I plan to make one more template tomorrow, out of MDF. I wanted a windshield that I could remove, as well as something that wouldn't leave large holes in the frame. I started with two of these (one for each side) I then made brackets for it to look like this: I then cut a template out of thick cardboard to get an idea of what it would look like. I'm pretty happy with the way it looks:
