Waiting on topmounts - once they arrive should be able to but te rollerskate and chassis back together. Struggling with time on the runup to christmas so if I can get the engine running next month I'll be happy.

Unusual setback this weekend - fuel lines cut and (roughly) shaped, ditto brake lines, went to do my brackets.... but my stainless nylocs and washers have all gone AWOL. Think my helpful children may have 'tidied them up' when they were helping me the other day.
Turned the whole garage over for 2 hrs, finally gave in and ordered some more. Bah. Oh well, all the hard stuff is done on the pipe front, it's literally just assembly.
After that some finaly fettling with pedals/column (cleaning and greasing) and then it's onto building up the subframes a little at a time whilst I wait for my last suspension bits to arrive.

The bits will show up the same day new ones get there.. It is magic.. no they are right were you put them for safety so you would not loose/misplace them.. We have all done it.. Offer a free ice cream cone to kid that fines them..

Busses arriving all at once etc... Got my stainless bits on Tues (but was working away Tues/Weds/Thurs so couldn't actually fit). Working from home today and the suspension top mounts finally arrived! Never been so happy to see a little bit of pressed steel Things should start moving quickly now....

Very nice looking and straight.. Looks like your front brake and fuel lines might touch the frame. Might want to split a couple of pieces if rubber hose to cover lines. And use a couple of P clamps on fuel brake tube to secure better.. Keep the IVA man happy.. In front run pic it looks like the fuel lines have crimps in the bend area.. might just be the pic..

And yep, need to add some more clips and trim back - wanted to offer up brake and clutch first to see how best to run them. Avoiding the steering column looks to be a potentional issue too?

The iva man failed ours where front pipes came into engine so I have had to edge trim the end of trans tunnel and you may be best fitting master cylinder before offering the frame onto chassis

Was going to decide once i could check steering. Could mount front subframe with rack but without engine maybe? Anyway, got another job done this evening with the helpof a friend; installed the bushes. Took longer than i thought it would, some definately tougher than others! Used clingfilm to keep them clear of crud till ready to assemble

We cut the spacers off our pedal assembly but mounted them on the servo side I think it's so the steering column moves closer to front of the car

I will have to check it may be best to mock up front subframe and steering without engine as you may need to fettle the steering assembly

great to have a chat with freshp5 - popped over last night and gave me some advice based on their mevster build, means there are a few more jobs on my list but well worth doing it now before it's all mated up!
