A couple more details: 1) Fitted in all the rivet holes with RTV sealant between this and the tigerseal underneathshould keep water out 2) This is what the bridge plates will look lie when fitted - my M8's in 8.8 are too long (and can't be cut down because the unthreaded portion is too long itself) so need to get some shorter ones. Can't help thinking I should have angled my cut a little more but I didn't want to take out more material than absolutely neccesary. fig packet mockup said it 'should' clear the gaz shocks as is... but the proof is in the pudding so I won't know until it's all fitted up. Plans for this weekend include: 1) Making up the brake/fuel line brackets 2) fitting the bushes 3) cleaning up the old bolts I've chased my top mounts and they are still 1 week out.... so next weekend looks like the day to turn this back into a car (fingers crossed).

You may want to round the corners on the cuts to keep the IVA man happy.. With the floor being water tight you might want to put in a drain hole or two per side with rubber plugs in them like OEM are.. in case you are caught in the rain and need to get water out..

Yep, slept on it and came to the same conclusion. On the drain holes - yep, not a bad idea gonna wait until i habe tank, battery etc sited and then try and introduce a small bung per section.

Ok, a few hours today so fab'd some brackets. First off, this one to rotate the rear brake splitter block without losing any support. Then onto the car to mock it up and check hose ok: (triangle tip will be squared off btw) Next, centre tunnel brackets for fuel x2, brake plus rear wiring ... Went a bit ocd on this and bent each bracket according to the trans cover angle to avoid any rubbing whilst keeping a gap to the Ppf Painted and drying - so put the bits together ready:

You may need to trim the bones as it may catch the shocks when they are fitted in the frame

Done the brace plate on the front wishbones - is that enough? Or are we talking more off than that?

The curved plate that you bolt to the wishbones may catch the shock when fitted with chassis we had to trim a bit off ours

The curved plate that you bolt to the wishbones may catch the shock when fitted with chassis we had to trim a bit off ours how much? (do you have a pic?); can't trial fit mine yet as still waiting for my replacement top mounts (I've coverted to theMK 2 top mounts and suspension, not sure if this will help or not!). Also - have you got any pics of your brake/clutch plumbing on the bulkhead? I'm trying to tap/rivnut everything ahead of time before I drop the chassis over, but I'm struggling toget how the pipe is going to run from the side of the trans tunnel to the bulkhead without catching the bellhousing on the gearbox/wiring/clutch pipes etc. Don't have many pics of this from the MX-5 dismantle
