Didn't the r35 wana play in the vid Steve? That would have been a good start to your rockets life. He was class D, the fast experienced class TBH, he seemed to drive very car carefully, some others in that class were just crazy drivers. I don't think it would of been a sensible choice for a first trackday, given there is the option of lightweight class. They were sensible, and did care about there cars:)

WE WILL SEE HOW THAT FARES AFTER 12 MONTHS, when we drive the cars with full agressive intent to kill..

Would you suggest booking that group purely to kill it on a track? Note, that skyline race car was in that class.. The one with the 395 front tyres...
Now, that's a challenge!!

I'm pulling the car to pieces shortly, to start the work. I'll see if the mtx box can come out with the engine in situ The gearbox ecu goes to pcb manufacture next 3 weeks. then got to test the first one.

No STEVE the skyline I meant was in your vid on the road think it was you road testing your car mate. He left me well alone. Tbh, I have to treat this car with respect, and caution it deserves. Given its track acceleration and speed, I have to do this. Like bikers should not ride angry, for safety's sake. The skylines gearchange is one of the best systems ever, next to BMW m3 dsg, 0.2 secs gear to gear. That's hard to match. Given safe circumstances, we shall meet again;)

Oh I no those r35"s are brutal even in standard mode I've got an app on iPhone called car buzz plenty of tuned videos etc company in America tune them to 1500bhp serious missiles. But I bet the acceleration in your rocket is immense especially when ur so close to the ground and so open I'm looking forward to seeing in the flesh mate.

Steve, I didn't realise they let you out in the saloon class! I only managed 2 sessions before my nearside outer cv failed at 115 on the back straight.....not a nice feeling. Would have been interesting to compare performance ;-)

Lol, I went in the beginners for the first 2 sessions, and after passing stuff like it was stationary, the ads instructor said to move up to lightweights. Only the atom was a challenge on the straights, but those sprint cars can corner like nothing I've seen.
If you follow them through a bend in a road car, then you've got to be good.
Tbh, that was the 2nd time is driven on track, and the car was still not set up, or tuned properly.
I'll be back lol.
