Bonnet fitted last night. Great Day today weather wise, so decided to take the little Exocet down to the Coast for a run out - Southampton in fact. Sun shining all day long. Car got lots of attention! Met up with Trident, spent a couple of hours together looking over my car. But that's another story!

So you took Johns car for a spin Trident and spun it???
I think it would look great where the twin exhausts pass thru to be sheeted in with the same stuff as the sides

Ok Are you sitting comfortably ? So my IVA was booked for today. If that wasn't enough to worry about, Fri Sat and Sunday was spent in London competing in the London Triathlon, the scary bit for me being the 1500mtr open water swim. Bike and run then easy? 8 minutes slowed than last year getting too old I reckon. Monday & Tuesday was work, but with some evening time (1am on tuesday night) preparing our car. Car now mobile but without bonnet. T-1 day to IVA Wednesday, day off. Lots of little jobs to do, including getting the bonnet fitted. Generally this went fine. Then invited Luke to drive the car onto the Trailer. Scary job, but with a cast of thousands looking on he did it, well done boy! good clutch control. So fast forward to today. "The Eagle has landed." Left home at 6am, destination Southampton IVA centre. Managed to over fill the fuel tank on route (not a great start), but arrived at 8am. Its been a long day. The Upshot being a first time pass. The only real issue I had was the brake fluid reservoir sensor was faulty. I would have been stuffed! miles from home, no local knowledge. Trident (my adopted build brother) came to the rescue. Managed to source, collect and help fit the replacement sensor. Words can't express my thanks. But its important for me to publicly say a big thanks to Trident (Chris). Thank you!!! Anyway, the car is now IVA'd. I will post more info on the test for others in the next 48hrs. Knackering day, however very rewarding when the IVA examiner uses the words 'Superb". Big thanks once again, to John (bodywork), Mark (transport) and of course Chris (Trident) and everybody on the forum for there advice and support! Our favourite/ more memorable photos' to finish. 2 and 1/2 years ago Thank you.

Your exocet looks spectacular! I hope mine turns out half as good as this congratulations John and Luke. We only currently have one exocet registered for road use here in Australia and I'm hoping to get mine through out test facility also. I've jumped to the end of this thread but now I'm going to have to go back and read the whole thing!
