according to paul at rtr they were just about quiet enough for msva. performance on the demo trike is amazing and it sounds fantastic when the revs get up.

Good to see the build's started and also your eagerness to crack on despite the cold temp. keep it up and it will be done ready for the summer.
Cheers Kevin

had the kit for almost a week now , so I guesss its time for an update on what I`ve been up to. After a bit of messing around with wrong bearings etc I managed to get the swing arm fitted. Made some ply formers to carry radiator pipes and pvc tubes through the tunnel. frame all wrapped up with some pipe lagging and centre tunnel fitted. pvc tubes should make it easy to feed everything through. Made some brackets and mounted the radiator. and the brake reservoir. Front end all bolted together and front wings mounted. I will need to bend the wing mounting brackets very slightly to adjust the fit . Not a very clear picture, but modified some rubber washers to cover where bracket goes in through wing. By the time it had been on and off a few times the gel coat was a bit chipped around the holes. Engine in temporarily to test fit. All the mounts lined up ok, just need a couple of spacers for the top mounts and some fine thread bolts to fit properly. Seats placed in so we could sit in and pretend !! Thats about it for now. A few other small jobs done but nothing that shows just nuts and bolts really. Hoping to have kliktronic kit Monday so I can start working out steering column and paddle shift. Also need to be thinking about fuel pump/ gauge etc , as it was not really practical to use the pump from the R1 as it would involve raising the tanks to allow for the large plastic fitting to be well clear of the road. Will try and post a few updates as i go, but i tend to get carried away and just stay in the garage working and forget about it !

Its coming along nicely Paul I like your tunnel routing idea, although I don't know how you would fit a gear lever in there. Not a problem for you though with a paddle shift Cheers Kevin

At this rate Paul you will be finished before mine arrives in Burnham, I've still got 2 months to wait good to see it going well though. Keep up the good work and ideas. Dave

Nice! But are you sure the exhaust pipe fits? I had to modify the frame and pipe...

Its Alive !!! We have been doing the wiring for the last couple of days. Managed to get it firing before 2013 but it took another half hour to work out that the lean angle sensor was just hanging upside down on the wires. Once that was sorted it starts first push on the button. Still lots of electrics to do and its only running with the r1 tank balancing on the back end, but we have confirmed that all the wires are in the right place. I will get round to putting some pictures up, just been to busy in the garage. Happy new year to you all Cheers Paul

Happy new year to you all Cheers Paul I had an issue with a lean or tip sensor when I built my MNR with its ZZR1400 engine, they way around it for me was to take the sensor apart, and silicone glue the thing in place in its working way. This fixed it for me. It had to be in the loom, there was no way around wiring it through without the sensor.
