A lot of panel work today, then scotch Brits and brake cleaner. Etch primed ready for satin black in the morning. Need to order a new maser cylinder push rod from RD tomorrow so I can re-fit the front bulk head and peddle box. 40mm conduit to put in to house cables. Steering racks gonna need a complete dismantle to fit how I want it to, I THINK. Got some pics I need to put up, but my boy has filled the PC full of cola, which was fun =-O

Very nice! Do you plan on venting the radiator downwards given the way you have it tilted? I can see that this should do away with any concern about air lock in the top elbow since the rad cap is much higher in this configuration.

Pete.. the rad is so far forward it has to maintain that angle, im going to funnel air to it to ensure its effectice, im also going to have to front mount the fan as i couldnt move it any further forwards to mount between the rad and rack.
steve. ill be mounting the wings when the bones come off again for final IVA geometry positioning. i dont want to knock them whilst im still climbing all over it.
took ages to remove the masking tape i had put on there months ago to protect the powder, glad it never peeled the lacquer, had to use wd40 to remove the gum..

Looks really good and I am jealous as that is the colour I was originally gunning for. You better be ready for the 5th AMM next year as I am looking forward to seeing the power in your car and Steve's.

not as much complete as i wished, but its ok.. Ok? Ok? It's bloody good mate that what it is. You sound a little down but progress is progress and you are making it. My first target date passed at the weekend (change of clocks) and I am nowhere near to being finished. Still not told us how you bent that piston though - come on spill.

I'm trying to sort it, but, not looking good TBH, I think Curborough will be too small a track, for the cars. The MTX ratios are fairly tall, and ideally suited to a little longer straights. Its still worth a shot though Don't think you'll get higher than 3rd gear lol

One thing im looking at regards to the pedal box, and slave cylinder.. and something that may have affected the pushrod.. clutch hyper extension...?? Im looking at this for mine, as regards to the gearbox change. I get sticky gears at high RPM< which, id put down to oil, and bad syncros. But, my clutch bite is right near the top, as in, 1-1.5" travel. That is where it is free. Now, my theory is that im pushing right down on the pedal, to the bulkhead each change. By doing so, im pushing the clutch fingers right it, past the release, and then making contact with the clutch plate etc. Causing it not to synchronise?? If you've bled your clutch up, gung ho right footed, and the bearing/plate/cover becomes one, have you not bent it this way?? Just ideas But, im going to test mine tonight and put a block on pedal travel. Im going to bleed it again first to eliminate that from the equation, measure the bite point, and add 1/2". Lock the travel, and road test.

Dearest Paul,
I'm gutted. She is looking beautiful. Now as its been a while I'll start with a few points, Is that CBS box really that bad? lets face it, stripping the electrics from a TVR was probably a better solution. (am I allowed to say that?)Secondly, are you getting them light stands powered to match the frame? Lastly, for now anyway, I think you have bent the rod due to the angle of the linkage and the moment through which it rotates through when depressed.
Only my thoughts of course. So now a few of our close friends are back from Holiday, you getting down here for a bit of "mess" action?
I'm still VERY jealous.
